  1. Me too, my friend! It disturbs me when great people vanish.
  2. That is disturbing indeed! macmarauder and I have a friend named chinawht and she went missing a year ago. She just dropped off the face of the planet. I hope Thesidekickcat returns soon!
  3. Not sure about wifi but it does have a slate roof... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Definately built to last then! Cool.
  4. amazement......................................reference to an outhouse that cost millions.....hopefully that latrine has a stereo system and wifi access:-)
  5. I'm glad you asked. They mean there's no story here. Someone discovered that it's possible to create viruses with MSH, the successor to cmd.exe (the "Command Prompt"). Since the whole point of MSH is to replace cmd.exe with a real programming environment, it would have been surprising and disappointing is that was not the case. It's tantamount is announcing that it's possible for people to create viruses on Windows. Duh. And for the record, it's not a vulnerability in Vista. MSH is available for WinXP and Win2003 as well and they are probably just as 'vulnerable'. They're being reported
  6. I tried the sheep one.........sigh. Check out my rating
  7. Heh-heh, thanks tictoc, I think:-) I really suck at this game. The best I could do was .271. I missed a few of them and the game asked me if I had been drinking or had fallen asleep! LOL. Funny stuff.
  8. Very true!! I'm hoping that Mozilla will maintain a free Fire Fox browser along with a pay for view version. I'm happy that Mozilla is becoming successful! Fire Fox is my browser of choice.
  9. agents.........................secret agents
  10. Sigh.......oh well Norton Anti virus will be in business for the years to come, LOL
  11. Good question. For me if it turns pro and that product is better than the free version then I would perhaps pay for it on my Windows box. I'm hoping that the free version will maintain all of the security features of the pro version (if one is released). I'm betting that a pro version would have more business features built in. I don't think that Mozilla would do anything to alienate the millions of loyal users. No, I would never go back to IE. I haven't used Opera in a while so I can't comment on that browser.
  12. Hi Liz, You are very welcome! Yes, Fire Fox runs on Windows 98 You will pick up far fewer examples of spyware with Fire Fox. My Dad doesn't like change at all, but, he found the transition to Fire Fox painless. I've attached a screenshot of the browser layout, pretty clean, easy to use.
  13. LOL, that just made my day
  14. destroy....... Agreed, driving is nuts these days. I'd feel safer if I could drive a tank down main street.....of course then my gas mileage would suck
  15. Hi Liz, Mozilla's Fire Fox is really easy to use it's not nerdy at all, Liz! It is very easy to install; I installed it for my Dad this summer and he loves it. I also run Fire Fox on my Windows XP box, it is stable and picks up less spyware than when I run IE 6. You can get Fire Fox 1.0.6 here. Just download it to your computer, double click the icon and the installer will do the rest. The installer will import all of your bookmarks from IE. It's great!
  16. Thanks for the link, great story, Pierce!
  17. free-for-all, the way most people drive these days.
