  1. Granted, You are disapointed when he shows up. I wish RJ hadn't started this thread and left us to fend for ourselves.
  2. Ok, I admit I tricked you. I found this, and think it is one of the best thing to come out of Berkley since BSD. I kind of want to try it now... BH
  3. The best ideas in human history have often identified the worse parts of human nature, and turn them into things that benefit the common good. Take greed for example, without it no capitalisim. Capitalisim leads to progress and improvement of the human condition. Now lets turn basic lust for power around on the politicians. If you can get enough people angry about a problem, it will get fixed. The key is organization, and numbers. So it isn't enough to just complain, you just have to DO something. Activisim, it isn't just for loonies anymore.... BH
  4. Granted, you are fired. I wish more people were posting to this thread than you and I. BH
  5. Look under my avatar. Scary, we think alike. I changed it at 0645 EST this morning. BH
  6. Wish granted, but the government outlaws graphical pages and you must revert to text based internet. I wish I could find an inexpensive high quality office chair. BH
  7. Mine arrived, remember that they have no cables or screws. I also purchaced an IDE RAID controller. It formatted out to 238 Meg. It is the quietest thing in my PC. You can't even hear it run over the processor fan. BH
  8. Where is the Jelepeno? Good going in, not so much coming out. BH
  9. I watched Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy last night, the book was better. BH
  10. Lucky you. I have stopped going to car shows. Everytime I do, I want a classic car. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time/checkbook to restore/buy one. <Sigh> BH
  11. I'm sorry, I have very little self control. <smack, bad Brian, Bad, Bad, Bad> BH
  12. You guys remember the 4-6-8 engine back in the 80's? It was a disaster then, but with todays technology they might be able to make it work. Think about it, take the parts for an aluminum small block and make them in a V twin configuration 2 cylinder pairs, then just stack them up to the required horsepower. Using modern fuel injection and good clutching you would be able to get a hybrid effect without the weight. Cyl pairs you didn't need just shut off, disengage, and freewheel to a stop. BH
  13. I think we are on the same page. The tragic truth is the very people who are paid to care don't. Like you, that doesn't stop me from complaining about it. There is a solution, there are just too few people who are willing to fight for it. That is the sad part. I guess we just need to load up the school boards with ringers... BH
  14. Thanks, I guess I am on a roll. My post count is unfair, I tend to have long posts. I feel you pain on public schools, this is my daughters first year of public school in 4 years (7th Grade). She is under-challenged, her homework takes 20 minutes or less, and the third week of school she still doesn't have all of her books. She is extremely happy, because she is now the best student in each of her classes. She is getting lots of extra credit for actually getting her homework in on time. She is on deck to be a strait A student, when she was a low B student in private school. She is in
  15. Great advice, I bet it has dropped to a minute 30 by now. BH
  16. I see your "Roll Tide" and raise you a : WAR EAGLE, GO TIGERS! Personal opinion, Alabama is the greatest state. Even married a Bama girl. BH
  17. Ahhh, the god old days. I dated a tall redhead in college that could be your sister! BH
  18. Granted, your truck now has a 4 Cyl Engine, and Corvettes only come with the new Chevy V-twin. I wish I was on vacation.
  19. Consider it an investment, if none of us had kids and those kids that people did have weren't educated you would have no one to pay that fat Social Security check you will be getting <yes I'm joking> My Social Security taxes alone paid my Mother and Fathers benefits. We had 5 kids in the family, four were pretty sucessful. You also have the choice not to own property, or to own property with less value. Then you have to take into account that someone already paid for your education. I understand the sentement, but we all have to do our share. Truckers pay most road taxes, the re
  20. Why do good office chairs cost so much? I have gone through a slew of office chairs. The stuff you get at staples falls apart, doesn't have enough padding, and is flimsey (I am a big guy). Commercial office chairs are insanely expensive. They range from 400 to 1300 dollars. Why isn't there a middle range chair? BH
