Just curious, when I read fixes, often people are told to boot into safe mode and delete certain files. Since hjt offers delete at reboot, why not have people just use that tool?

Happy Birthday :-)

I am really surprised guarddog is not available with apt. None the less, you could easily build it using the tar file. Until i got my router, I always used guarddog, it was very simple to use.

just curious, do you need the video to play on both computers at the same time? Or are you mainly wanting to store the video on one computer but play it on another, if so just use windows file sharing.

I can probably look it up with the info you provided, but you should have a section called "Display", it will have your video chipset listed -

So you are trying to update your drivers for your onboard video, is that correct? if so run belarc advisor. Then post the info under the heading Display, this should be the video chipset your system is using. After you post the information I would be happy to help you look. Also, what windows OS are you running? edit added later// I see your signature says windows xp sp2 -
I hate having to add a phone number to my phone using the number pad. I could not imagine typing messages all day using a nine key number pad

this is funny. t-mobile does not have the capabiltilies to disable text messaging. Whatever :-|

My fourteen year old daughter has had a mobile phone(we have a family plan) for a while now. She pays a small portion of the bill every month, like $15. For $5 extra dollars a month she added on 400 text messages/month. in three weeks time, she has used about 3000 messages. Her overage charges(.10 each) for just messaging are $260(plus tax), Holy sh*t. She has a paper route and money saved, so she will pay it all. None the less, I am going to disable text messeging. She is at that age, if I politley nag her about her usage(are you staying under 100 per week?), I get the response, "LEAVE ME A

you may get lucky clearing the cmos, but....... it sounds as if the flash procedure failed(no fault of your own). If that is the case, the motherboard is unusable for all practical purposes. To fix this problem you need to replace(or maybe reprogram) the eprom chip. this is something that has to be done by the manufaturer(maybe by you with the right technology).

you could check into using yahoo http://store.yahoo.com/

I am doing a practice log. I am not sure about this entry. Any help would be appreciated O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [TYPELITE] C:\DOCUME~1\Liam\APPLIC~1\MODERU~1\ACE REMOTE.exe

That is pretty cool. Is power shell gutted out of vista? My weak understading of what is needed to suspend a process could be accomplished by suspeneding all of the threads the process uses. Maybe a way to do it would be to figure out what threads the process uses then use the win32 api method for suspending them(all the threads).

I Swapped Cpus Now But I Have A Question.
shanenin replied to Honda_Boy's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
I have an athlon xp 2000, it will not boot if I try and run it at 333 FSB. I also have an athlon xp 2600 it runs fine without any problems when I run it overclocked with a 400FSB -

I definately think your athlon xp 2600 will outperform your underclocked athlon xp 3000. Just for fun, since you already have the 3000 installed, try and encode something like a dvd to divx, but note how long it takes. Then after you reinstall the 2600 encode the same movie. I bet the 2600 encodes the movie at least 25% faster. As to getting your computer to "see it". That all depends on the motherboard. It may be able to be set to a higher speed(FSB), but I doubt it. If you are lucky, thier might be a setting in the bios to change your FSB speed to 200/400. I have also had mobos that had a j -
I have never relly understood what .net framework is. It is not a programmming language, right? Is it a tool that you used with a programming language?

think of it this way. the copy command needs two arguments. The first one is the file you are going to copy, the second is the destination to copy it two. CMD.exe splits the arguments up with spaces. So it is kind of like this, you used 4 arguments copy(command) test.txt(first argument) C:\documents(second argument) and(third argument) settings\desktop(fourth argument) by using quotes you have just two arguments copy(command) test.txt(first argument) "C:\documents and settings\desktop"(second argument)
-
because %userprofile% expands to "C:\documents and settings\owner" (it may have a different user name). because of the spaces in "documents and settings" you need to enclose it in quotes
-
I am not getting that error When I use that syntax. I do think that you do need to use quotes try these two examples dir %userprofile%\desktop and this dir "%userprofile%\desktop"

I made this script into a zip file that anyone can run. You do not have to have python installed. It also contains the exe "process" http://brighteyedcomputer.com/spywareremov...polvykiller.zip
