  3. FYI... - http://www.theregister.com/2005/04/14/toxic_blogs/ 14th April 2005 "Toxic blogs are being used to distribute malware and keyloggers, censorware firm Websense warns. Websense Security Labs said it has discovered "hundreds of instances" of blogs involved in the storage and delivery of harmful code this year. Anti-virus firms question why Websense has singled out blogs as a particular security risk but Websense does come up with at least one concrete example of the trick having been used in anger. According to Websense, blogs can be attractive vehicles for hackers for several reasons —
  4. Install right over the top of them. I waited as long as possible before installing SP2, but kept up with all the other patches. And yes, they were parts of SP2..
  5. 15 March 2005 "...A bug in Google means that when another Google bot finds your real page it attributes all the content on that page to my site and then removes your page from the index because you have duplicate content (a big no no with them) to what it sees as "rightfully" belonging to my site. To be fair it was only doing that if your page's PR was higher than mine (Past tense intentional). Malicious webmasters soon discovered this was a neat way of nicking all traffic from competing sites which had a lower PR to theirs. And without breaking any laws or search engine guidelines. The barrie
  6. I still don't see the problem with Skype... ( http://www.skype.com/ ) I use it for computer to computer audio and the software was free. It has a land-line calling plan that looks like a long distance phone card deal.. $13 US for one hour, good for 180 days... ( http://www.skype.com/store/buy/skypeout.html ) The software for this is free also... No set up fee or monthly charge. I use Vonage broad band phone service. I'm saving 2/3's off my land-line phone bill and get 500 free minutes a month long distance, anytime, all over the US and Canada. International calls are real cheap too. $.03

  12. I would contact McAfee, see if there is conflict with a new up-date and the game. And you *really* need to get SP2 installed. You are compromising your system to too many new exploits. Read up on it, I think you'll find even the "DUMB GAME" has had a patch out for SP2...

  19. I believe a relationship started on-line is a very good way to get to know each other. Of course honesty and caution must be present. It makes getting to know likes and dislikes easier. There are no "hormones" getting in the way of great conversation. Long distances can be overcome if the relationship is true. Just be wary, use all your instincts, and street smarts. Mine started over 7 months ago. He traveled from the UK to Michigan. It is all I expected, even a few problems. But none that can't be overcome at this point. Time will truely tell, and I intend to take it slow...
  20. Where the heck are ya RobRoy?? we miss you. Happy Birthday!!!!
  21. OBITUARY We mourn the passing of a beloved old friend by the name of Common Sense who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such value lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and that life isn't always fair. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids, are in charge). Hi
