You mean you're wise to the "Jack up the prices 'til it hurts then bring it down a little but still much higher than it used to be and everyone will breathe a sigh of relief thinking gas is cheap again" trick? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> JDoors, my sentiment exactly. Trick? No, very calculating. A lot of companies do that. Create a shortage, jack the prices, then lower them just a little, so you think you have a bargain. They lower the size of the product in lbs, ozs, gals, etc, so you are paying more anyway. BTW $2.99 gal reg here. Slick. Barb

I think the picture is for demonstration purpose only to show what he did. I doubt he would be smart enough to show us a picture, but you never know. I got this off the Dell forum, and laughed so hard I had to put it on here, just for laughs. I'm no tech, but I know enough not to do that. Barb

i love how the whole point went right over your young head. ohhh i don't care what anyone says. we are not the greatest country in the world, we just have too more idiots that think we are than anyone else. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My point was made, it anoied you, and a few others i bet. The "sad" part, is new orleans. It is unfortunate that it did happen, and it is nice to see each fellow american looking after each other. The scary(sad) part, is your ocupation in iraq. Charity begins at home. Im not going to say any more than this. Pierce <{POST_SNAPBACK}> oh yeah i'm pissed at

Here is Shreveport Newspaper, scroll down to see Employment Assistant Shreveport Alot of info in their newspaper. Sorry I heard the news wrong on TV. They are pledging jobs to Wal-Mart employees that are displaced somewhere else. Maybe others can get one anyway. Hope so. Barb

Yes, I read about them, excellent organization. There are a lot of good merchants also, such as Wal-Mart, saying they would have jobs for all that want one in whatever area they are evacuated to. That is a very important step to helping themselves to get on their feet. Jobs and housing desparately needed. I wish these people all the luck in the world. Barb

Marty, I had the same problem. Barb

In case anyone doesn't know which charitable organizations are reputable. Here is a site to go and check: Charity Navigator Thought this might be of interest since there are so many, and not sure who you can trust. Barb Here is another one: USA Freedom Corp

Hey, my Momma use to say the same thing. Jdoors, we are on the same wave length. Here we have a tragedy, and we have some people coming on TV with the blame game. It is so easy to "Monday morning quarterback" as they say. Unfortunately, the people that made the decision to stay, was the wrong one. I don't want to get started on politics. Sidekickcat, you think you write a long post, I'd probably use up all of Jeff's bandwidth. Haha Barb

I read somewhere that Sri-lanka was donating $25,000. This touched me more because they probably can't afford it, but are willing to give. It's not how much, it is that you do it, with what you can afford. It is nice to see that other countries are donating. This is the way it should be. Helping each other, no matter who you are or where you come from. It just breaks my heart to see them rescue people and leave the animals behind. I understand the reasoning, but keep seeing that little wet dog standing in the water as the boat left him behind. I hope they eventually can go and save them. Barb

Well here in SE part of Va, it has gone from (Mon-Fri) $2.49, $2.79 and today is $3.18, regular. I wonder what tomorrow will bring? Do not plan on any driving this weekend. Did you all see prices in Georgia? $5.00 something reg and $6.00 for hi test. That has to be price gouging. Barb
