  1. I apologize greatly Siddy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
  2. These directions are for Windows XP. Vista will be similar, but not exact. Make Sure all computers are on the same network workgroup. First, get on the computer that the printer is installed on: Control Panel > Printers > Printers And Faxes > Right Click The Printer > Sharing > Choose Share This Printer Next, Do This on the Rest of the Computers: Control Panel > Printers and Faxes > Add Printers > Next > Choose Network Printer > Next > Choose "BRowse" > Next > Now, you'll see your Workgroup and maybe some computers... Click the name of the computer and
  3. Congrats! Nice specs. Im guessing.. $1170?
  4. I replaced both tie rod ends, then had it aligned two days ago. Me and the tech were under the car for a while trying to figure out why it's pulling. He was also clueless. We swapped the front and rear tires. All tires are the same and virtually brand new.
  5. Alright, hopefully someone here can help me with this. Vehicle: 72 Ford Maverick Problem: Pulls to the Left - Amplified When Braking I pulled the front left drum. (yes, for you "young-uns", drums in the front) The shoes were *mostly* intact, and the cylinder had a small leak. Rebuilt the cylinder and put new shoes on. Put it all back together and took it for a drive. Ran straight and true. Parked it for the night. Got back in this morning, and the darn thing is pulling again! I took off the right drum and put new shoes on. Still pulling. Took the left drum back off - Shoes were NOT too tight.
  6. I used to use a website that was named "Space Cider" or something like that. I can't find it now though. ANyone remember it?
  7. OS's are like cars. They've made their giant leaps of improvement towards efficiency and style. Now it's baby steps untill a big break through comes along that will revolutionize the way it operates. (obviously not Vista, or the new Toyota Tundra ) Also similar to cars, they've become more bulky, "easier to operate" (AKA, harder to fix), and everything that used to be out in the open is now tucked away behind a nice shiny piece of plastic. Remove this, unscrew that, pull off this: "oh look, there's the fuses";"oh look, there's the error log".
  8. Wow, that's a flattering picture. You should get it Joe. Never know, might be sound.
  9. You raise a good point. To new or inexperienced PC users, please use a good anti spyware and antivirus. Using a computer on the internet is like riding a bike, it takes a while before you can do it safely, and even then you still fall down once in a while.
  10. Welcome to Besttechie! No, it's not okay to post in other topics. We don't condone that type of behavior. Take off your shoes and stay a while
  11. Crap, I thought this was a video about the Tremors movies...
  12. I need to add a 3rd monitor. Ive got two monitors already connected to my AGP video card. I assume I can just add a PCI video card for the 3rd monitor? If so, can anyone recommend a good PCI card?
  13. Last year when I got in a mess with a virus and had to post up an HJT to remove it, I realized something. AVG, was worthless. Not just AVG though, any antivirus Ive ever used never completly got rid of a virus. Mcafee, Norton, Avast... Anytime I got a virus I would have to go in a remove it manually. So logically, why have them? Ive been with out "protection" for over a year now with ZERO problems. No anti virus/anti adware/blah blah... No PC slow downs while anything updates or scans or checks or... you get the point. I see no real benefit of using them now, as all they are good for (to me) i

Heh, like a retarded version of internet charades Do you know the genre of the song?
  15. The USAF has released a chart that will hopefully clear up any confusion regaurding what you see in the sky: Wouldnt let me post the pictures, so here's the link: http://xmb.stuffucanuse.com/xmb/viewthread.php?tid=4839
  16. Pretty Interesting... Linky That truckers forum, which is usually a bit more stagnant, has had pages of posts dealing with the trucker's strike in just one day. I fail to see logic behind it, but hey...
  17. Thanks Jsky, What CPU & video card do you have? Ive got all old(ish) ATI 9800XT. I think it should be alright? I really dont keep up with these things anymore... May I ask why you say this? I used to think the same way, but after SP1 came out I noticed the vista computers I use seem to be quicker. Click a folder/browser and they open up immediatly. I REALLY like that. Ive never seen XP do that no matter what kind of specs the PC had. My concern is, the Vista computers that Ive used all had the AMD 64bit dual cores. However, Ive also heard that Vista values ram OVER CPU... true?
  18. I can't sell my spare copy of Vista for the price I want, so once again Im considering using it. PC: 2.6Ghz P4; 2gigs Ram How well will vista handle multitasking (Photoshop+Dreamweaver+several browers+winamp) & multiple monitors with these fairly old system specs? Is this even plausible?
