  1. Congrats! Nice link to JOT, I love reading it. I have recently joined the "cult" as I have just purchased a new Macbook Pro for personal and university use in September.
  2. Nothing like a good spring smell. They were cutting the grass out front at work yesterday and we had all the windows open to let it float in. Smelled really great in there
  3. The case is most likely that the driver is corrupt. You may want to see if you can locate one on the Gateway website and make sure that it is the exact one for your model. Is this a built-in wireless card? If it keeps happening you may want to look into the manufacturers drivers or even some generic drivers if that doesn't work.
  4. Spending my money on pointless policies, we need to teach them a lesson
  5. Happy Birthday! Have a great one
  6. Working fine here all day today, how long has it been out for you?
  7. The Broker The predictable plot outcome and basic runaround made me go insane.
  8. Chappy, same thing is happening here in Toronto... We were up near 12 degrees Celsius a few days ago and I was expecting to be shoveling and freezing around -20 or -30 Very mild winter so far, all we've had is rain and 3 or so days of snow. Most of the ski hills are still closed and only 30% of snowmobile trails are open even to the extreme North. Very peculiar if you ask me.
  9. Deppending on a lot of factors that may or may not be true. It really deppends on the case I guess. I've had some CD-R's that barely lasted a year even when stored in near ideal conditions and were well taken care of. Others, are still fine after 5 years and i'll see what time brings haha.
  10. Well I just went to the Apple website and the "Powerbooks" are now renamed, and have Intel Core Duo processors in them! They even made the "Core Duo" sticker match the sleek laptop Seems like a pretty good machine to me, i'm going to have a decision to make when it's time to shop for a new laptop in a few months Go here to see for yourself (I didn't want to hotlink any images). I guess the rumors were true after all... *Edit* for spelling.

    Hello.

Welcome to Besttechie Don't be afraid of Mac, he doesn't bite.......often
  12. Personally, I prefer natural sugar in everything as well. The Splenda and equivalents just leave an artifical and chemical taste in my mouth. As for pop/soft drinks, I can't stand those much and I don't know why considering all my friends drink a ton.
  13. Happy birthday to ¿both? of you! Either way, have a great one
  14. Welcome Pull up a seat and relax.
  15. I now have a craving for pizza for some strange reason
  16. Personally, i'd go with the PS2. The games will continue to come and there was recently a price drop on the system (at least in my area).
  17. I agree with this also. This is a nice little pack for beginners for basic internet protection. Just need to add a different antivirus possibly avg and add a firewall like zonealarm free. Speaking of which, now that Sygate is gone, does anybody know of any others other than Zonealarm?
  18. Couldn't have said it better myself B. I now swear by NOD32 and have converted many people around me (especially family members) to anything but Norton.
  19. Personally, I usually go for a run to a favourite spot overlooking the city and watch the hustle and bustle... Either that or take a bike ride down to some of my favourite trails and sit with a bottle of water.
  20. I saw this on Jay Leno last night. I was cracking up; this seems unbelievable.
  21. As said above, your refresh rate seems to be good. Turning the brightness down will help if you don't play games much and what seems to help for my dad is the 800x600 resolution on his 17-inch CRT because anything higher he says he cannot read clearly even though there is more displayed. A comfortable seating position not too close to the screen will also do wonders. At the end, just take plenty of breaks as JDoors. Get up, walk around, do whatever it takes.
  22. To me, this seems like a waste of time for all involved. I'm a senior this year and not much hazing goes on at my school (didn't suffer at all when I was a freshman) however if something does happen, it's just usually the meathead seniors being stupid. Personally I think the whole "hazing" ritual is pretty pointless.
  23. That is deffinitely a true point. The admin may have also banned a range of ip's from one ISP and you may have unfortunately been caught in the range because someone else was needlessly breaking rules.
