  2. Very cool! Slackware 10.2 was released yesterday!! If you've never tried Slack I heartily recommend it. I'm downloading my ISOs right now. Slackware is a rock solid, stable distro.

My website in my signature below has lots of educational links you might like to try out. This website has a command line tutorial that you might like; it'll show you how to use a shell prompt. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i think im on like page 9 of that tutorial, i have it bookmarked i went crazy for a day deleting things using the *, lol <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh-heh, glad you're enjoying it.
  5. Link. This was a review I found using google/linux, it seems it is Linux compliant. I saw a few sites that listed problems with wireless cards. I'd fire up google/linux, see what turns up:-)

RTFM. Hardware compatibility list. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree with jcl, fubz. You've installed Linux, you are up and running. It is time for you to go out on the Internet and read up on some of the information that is available on the Ubuntu websites. When you're starting out in Linux you should read, read, read. The Linux experts will of course help you when you're in a real jam.
  10. Everything seems fine here, but, I've only been on this evening.
  11. I don't have any weapons in my house and have no training in firearms. However, in my youth I did train extensively as a competitive fighter so I can handle myself, but, am by nature a peaceful person. I can fully appreciate why some people feel the need to own a gun. In my small city I always lock my doors at night as we on occasion have muggings and assaults (we've had a few murders over the years too). I respect the right of people to own a gun, but, with my luck I'd shoot myself:-)
  12. Happy Birthday, TheTrueDarkOne!! I hope you had a great celebration.

Sometimes after you first install Linux you can feel a bit of a let down. Is this all there is? Linux is what you make it. Three years ago when I was a rank Linux beginner on the TTV boards jcl was patient with my questions. He helped me to be successful. When you get through this tough period you'll find something that really interests you in Linux. There is so much to learn; I'm never bored with Linux. Hang in there, fubz.
  14. Hendrix would be awesome! More beer please:-) *****Poster jumps up on table and begins cavorting about********* Just doing my happy dance, Liz:-)
  15. In public forums I'm not fond of seeing them separately either. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed.
  16. Very cool, mac! Open source dancers! Sweet.
  17. LOL, thank you macmarauder and robroy:-) BT is the place to be!!
  18. Congratulations, naraku9333, on being promoted to Linux expert!
  19. LOL Thanks, Liz! Yep, I'll blame mac when I get tanked. Now where did I put that drink?
  20. You're lucky. I forgot to put on my #876 level sunblock before I threw my portable nuke. I'm a crispy critter, well tanned. I'm feeling silly today, it will wear off soon.
