    Err ... Imaginative? Bizzare?

    Big Bugger

Didn't that squid star in a movie where it attacked this submarine?
  3. "I know there's something edible in there - I can hear it running back and forth - c'mon outta there!" Too bad they didn't film the cat walking away like he MEANT to jump down!
  4. That's something I'd normally jump on, but I'm in a financial bind right now (and for the foreseeable future). Darn! Good idea though, IMO.
  5. "Oo! Oo! I know! Over here!"
  6. Eww! I've had roommates and I do. not. want. to. think. about. that.

    Unemployed

Sorry to hear a place you used to like went downhill like that. Doing what you feel is the right thing probably got you out of there before things got even worse. Good luck on the job hunt! If you're eligible for unemployment insurance be sure to apply ASAP.
  8. It's crept back up 'round here, likely due to the "holiday travel season." Yeah, like anybody's traveling these days.
  9. "Twice on Thursday" Priceless!
  10. I suspect the "All of the Above" button will wear out first!
  11. For the past two days it's been: Johnny Cash, Johnny Cash, Johnny Cash, Johnny Cash and Johnny Cash. Heard some DJ remixes of Cash and, though not great (so far), it got me yearning to hear some Cash.
  12. I saw the pic but can't see how you got there, there's no "comment" thingy on my search pages. But then, through cookies I'm "recognized" by Google ("Welcome JDoors"), but I'm not officially "signed in," so maybe that's it?
  13. So, I should be scared then? Also: You gotta get to the bathroom RIGHT NOW 'cause a "prairie dog" is already squeezing his head out of its hole (ie., "I gotta go now! I'm prairie doggin'!"). -----
  14. Just filled up for under two bucks per gallon. Who says we need alternate energy? Uh-hem.
  15. The only addition I see on my Google Search Web tab is the addition of something-or-other about searching photo archives. What's your page look like? If I intend to get results from a wiki I usually go directly there and use their search box.
  16. Some of the ones I understood were funny! Some of the ones I understood I "got." British humour -- Uh-hem. Some, I have NO IDEA what they're talkin' about!
  17. The European Ford SportKa: The little car with a BIG attitude!
  18. I haven't browsed that site yet, but, well first I won't go anywhere near a store on Black Friday, but I have yet to see any "deals" that I absolutely MUST have. Ten percent off? Shove it. Ooo, 25% off? Nope. Free earbuds? Big whoop-de-doo. Already out-of-date technology at, I admit, a great price? No thanks.
  19. No fair! You guys don't have to pay extra for "Winter-blend" gas.
  20. Tuesday 5/7: One hour (1) (Didn't make it one month ... ) Sometime after midnight on Saturday 6/28: A few minutes (I reckon, as I wasn't home). Made it over a month! Around 5 or 6 pm on 7/2: about 35 minutes (lasted four days this time!). Around 5 pm on 7/21: about 8 minutes (two-and-a-half weeks of uninterrupted power!). Two weeks of continuous electricity! Around 5pm (I see a pattern) on 9/12: about ten minutes. Today, 9/15, one momentary and one just long enough to screw everything up. Another one: 9/16 ~12:15 pm for about fifteen minutes. Didn't even make it one day this
  21. Videos of twelve "moveable facades" buildings. What will they think of next? Oobject Com 12 Moving Building Facades.
  22. I don't understand how population migration will benefit one party over another -- How's that gonna work? Will people change their allegience solely due to a "new" location? One problem with "winner takes all" is people who vote against the majority in their state sometimes think that vote is "wasted." I disagree, but I don't know how to explain why it matters. Many may not vote at all, which just increases the influence of the majority. I don't know that "most people" think the popular vote determines the winner, the media talks about electoral votes throughout the election. Most people may
  23. One year I was unprepared, I had no candy. I poured all my pennies from the penny jar into a large bowl and told the trick-or-treaters to grab a handful of pennies. Boy! The little ones thought they had hit the jackpot! Wow! Pennies! Mom! He's giving away pennies! What could a little kid grab? Twenty cents? The older kids were another thing altogether ... I had to tell them not to be too greedy (as diplomatically as I could), but they usually show up later in the evening anyway, when all the little ones had already gotten theirs.
  24. I already said he got "a large majority" of the electoral votes (67.84% to put it another way). I understand how the electoral college works and how that determines who wins, so the only relevance of bringing up another election's results would be to unnecessarily point out that the popular vote does not determine the winner. And thank goodness the popular vote DOES NOT determine the winner: The population of just a few of the largest cities could negate almost everyone else's votes.
  25. Funny how in such a short time after additional offshore and sensitive area drilling is approved by Congress, prices came down. It's almost like foreign oil companies are trying to dissuade us from tapping our own reserves or something. Of course, supply and demand is still relevant: With the economy in the doldrums no one's driving if they don't HAVE to.
