  1. All I can say is that that is SO stupid, I'd say more but everything that comes to mind would be un-P.C. (really havin' to bite my lip here ... I wanna say somethin' ... ).
  2. The word you're looking for is "proposition," and it's not a common way to enact actual laws. California and a handful of other states have created propositions as a way to FORCE their governments to give the people a say in how they're governed as, in my opinion, those state governments do not listen to their citizens. The politicians hate propositions and often do everything in their power to get around them once passed. All other states do vote on things such as local tax increases, the issuance of bonds and a few other local issues, but creating state law is usually up to elected represent
  3. Have to agree, random file corruption is a classic sign of a hard drive failing. ScanDisk (or whatever Windows disk tool you have) may be able to fix it if you run the "Full Scan" option (AKA "Surface Scan"), or you might try an aftermarket disk repair tool.
  4. In addition to the BIOS battery (how old is it?) have you installed any new applications that are processor intensive? I used to believe the clock, being on the MB, should not be affected by running applications, but have witnessed this in the recent past. In those cases the apps slowed the clock (probably interferred with the clock chip's ability to update -- it just didn't have enough time to do so), but if you have added something new just before this problem cropped up it could be the culprit (though for the life of me I wouldn't understand how ... ). Oh, I think I see now (post below). Wi

    Coffee

I don't want to get that tripto-thingamajiggies that killed dozens up in Wisconsin a few years ago and that kill thousands throughout the country every year. Or the farm waste and fertilizer runnoff, or the contamination from underground tanks and spills. But boil it to make a pot of coffee made with fresh ground 100% Columbian Arabica beans, cream and sugar, and it's heaven. And safe.
  6. Looks good, but the text is way small for use in entire paragraphs (at least at my 1280x1024 resolution). Usually I just CTRL+MouseScroll to increase text size in IE but it didn't work for me on your site. Hmm. I thought it was a built-in function of IE but maybe something has to be enabled/disabled on the site. Rather than changing the text size (if you like the way it looks right now) maybe investigate why CTRL+MouseScroll doesn't work? ('cause I have no idea how it works.)
  7. Does it count as graphic design if I choose a black/black/black/black design? I imagine you are all scratching your heads wondering, "How on earth can this guy even function?!?" I use the Start menu for everything, the programs I access frequently are in the Start button menu, others only one or at the very most two submenus from there. This doesn't even qualify me for "minimalist!" (Forgot to mention: I did have those two icons modified but lost it all in a recent SNAFU and haven't restored them yet.)
  8. It's preserved well enough from the vinegar (plus the acid from the tomatoes). Altogether too much acid for it to spoil really (that's why restaurants can leave it out even with all the rules they have to follow). BUT, I would never leave it out. I remember some bottles with the "Refrigerate after opening" warning and while some don't have it I can't imagine the product itself differs that much from one company to another so: To be on the safe side, refrigerate. If it gets left out, don't worry, it's too acid to quickly spoil.
