  1. Just realized: if Rush, according to the left, is the conservative/Republican Wizard behind the curtain, then the liberals/Democrats have Carville. With one difference; Carville's fingerprints have been all over the Democrat's political strategies for years, while Rush is still just the host of a radio show. ***** Where did I wind up posting this originally?
  2. Unfortunately, history is not on our side. Spending your way out of economic trouble has a pretty poor record. I still have confidence that we'll pull through ... eventually. What I don't know is just how bad things'll get 'til then. We're only just now reaching unemployment and debt-to-GNP levels that the EU has had to deal with for a decade or more, and they're still more-or-less solvent, so it's not TOO scary. Yet. I can't believe Obama likened the worsening economic numbers to "poll numbers." Yeah, if polls could take away your job, your house, and your life savings. On the other hand, h
  3. Isn't it obvious? No? Why would one do a web search for such a non-specific term?

Is your ECU "smart" enough to adjust itself?
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall everyone being very upset about the economy these past eight years. Not as bad as they feel now, but quite upset. Gas prices anyone? I'm not blaming that directly on Bush, I'm just making a statement. Besides, the economy isn't the only measurement of how good things are, contrary to popular belief. I could talk about the two wars we're in, but that would go in a different thread. ... You scared me too The economic numbers belie your perception. Well, up to the crash. As much as I disagree with the left/liberal/Democrat position on most every
  6. What, like Fox News? And yet, its ok when people do that to Obama now... Bush had eight years, and they sucked. A lot. Obama hasn't been in office for 2 months yet. Seems like a double standard to me. You genuinely believe that the market would have stayed up had Obama done nothing... despite the approval ratings of his actions are at an all time high? Really? Did you hear Rush's speech or not? Why is it OK to disagree with everything Bush did but it's not OK to disagree with anything Obama does? Your opinion of the last eight years is either an exaggeration or I had a hell of a lot
  7. Given that complicated explanation, an explanation that's meant to "simplify" the mathmatics so even the average Joe can understand it, I now understand why so many people will never get it. "Doh, what? I get free beer?"
  8. It would be an exaggeration to say Obama wants to create a Socialist Regime, but his past and current words and actions are obviously socialist in nature. It's also an exaggeration to imagine what would happen if Obama "did nothing." The problem is that everything he has done so far has resulted in the market collapsing even further.
  9. If you got your news from a balanced source you'd know Rush said a lot more than just "I hope Obama fails," but instead you got that teensy sound-bite. The left has been attacking Bush for almost eight years, hoping everything he was even slightly involved with would fail, or claiming it has already failed even when it has not, or fighting tooth-and-nail to MAKE it fail, but Rush says he hopes this country doesn't turn socialist and somehow this is "shocking" to people.

So the entire problem may not be components, but a hacked wiring job. Ouch, wiring's tough to troubleshoot.
  11. ANOTHER? I haven't filed my taxes yet, should I follow the example set by our politicians? To the IRS: This is sarcasm. A joke. I will file. I will ensure my tax burden has been met. If I do so I am told there that by definition there cannot be a Federal deficit. That would be good (though I'm not against running a deficit, just not a ridiculously stupendously large one that'll never ever be paid back).
  12. Yeah, you're getting terms confused JDoors. He's spending so much it'll triple the deficit, which he will then cut in half (or so he promises), I'm not sure where I'm wrong. *****

Patience, I suspect sometime this Summer everyone will be complaining about global warming again. Re: Plugs. I never paid any attention to them. With today's high capacity ignition systems I can't imagine why you'd need to, stick a coat hanger in the hole and it would work. Well, you know what I mean.
  14. Easy enough: Triple the deficit during your first term, then promise a budget next time that'll cut THAT number in half. The guy's math skills are impeccable. ***** edit: but my spelling skill's are not

Jumpin' in: Iridium is supposed to last longer, won't "burn" like standard plugs, and is probably supposed to transmit the electrical charge more efficiently. He got 'em online, but plugs are gapped from the factory at a measurement that should work for most of the applications the plug was designed for. If you have to make any modifications it'll be slight (and likely only to undo any change that occurs due to rough handling during S&H).
  16. It's cool that technology let's you doublecheck whether or not you're getting a "deal" or not. I may have implied that NO ONE should EVER shop the CC liquidation and I didn't mean to. A "deal" for one person may not be a good deal for another. Even if you could get something cheaper elsewhere, the fact that you're there and it's available to be taken home that instant may be worth the extra cost for some (just to state one example). I find all those "first person" accounts of what's going on fascinating. Like employees who are barraged with snide comments like, "It's about time you went out
  17. And while we're at it, let's ignore someone's point entirely and instead complain about how they make it.
  18. So the basis of this argument is that marijuana isn't listed as the cause of death on any death certificate that you're aware of? Neither are bullets.

Wow, is that Iridium AND Unobtanium or what? You know, that could solve your "sputtering" problem.
  20. I'd have to second Steven Wright. He's one of only two comedians I like enough to have seen live (wait: I've been to comedy clubs and seen other comedians, but just whoever happens to be there that night). *****

    In the case of one woman in the news it's: copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste (OK, technically that's wrong, but ya catch my drift ...)
  22. I'm not normally squeaming about snakes, but that?
  23. So no one who's ever been involved in an accident resulting in a fatality has had marijuana in their system? No one who's been high has ever died or caused a death? I call BS. And do you not see the irony of saying it's not addictive while stating you're a long time user? Hey, I smoke cigarettes, have for close to twenty years. Sometimes I'll be at a friend's house where no one else smokes, so I don't either. I might think, "Gee, I wish I had one," but that's about as bad as it gets. Is that proof that it's not addictive? I'm not saying marijuana IS addictive, I don't care enough about the su
