  1. Ah, I see I don't have time to work up the code this morning, but you should be looking for a regular expression in JavaScript for a search and replace.
  2. I'm confused as to what you want. Did my code not work or are you looking for something different?
  3. Been a warm January here in WV. Our weatherman says we are right at the average temperature for the season due to an unusually cold November and December.
  4. I'm assuming you want a variable so that you can change the value at any time: <span class="redtext"> <script type="text/javascript"> var num = 100 document.write(num) </script> </span>

  6. I agree with your reasoning and prefer the new design as well.
  7. Ok, for the edit part you are probably looking at nesting a table. I'll just show the content part of the table code from above:
  8. There are a million and one ways to accomplish what you want. This is the way I would handle it, just based on simplicity: As I hope you can tell, I've just wrapped the menu script into another table, and made the content a <td> in that new table. Hope that helps.
  9. np. Browser compatibility shouldn't be an issue. You've covered the main two (IE is usually the one you have to adjust for with CSS). All others that are capable of handling CSS and JavaScript should display just fine.
  10. OK, I've fixed your textarea and placed your CSS and JavaScript within the html file: Here's how it would look if you placed the JavaScript and CSS in separate files: style.css text.js
  11. This article shows how you can run Windows Update within Firefox: http://techrepublic.com.com/5254-6257-0.ht...638&tag=nl.e064
  12. I'm in...second entry from WV.
  13. Yes, a new and fastly spreading varient of Sober. This is the one that appears to be coming from the CIA and FBI, among other addresses.
  14. The rollover effect that AOTS uses is becoming pretty popular. Here's the closest thing I've found to that effect: http://www.softcomplex.com/products/tigra_hints/demo.html
  15. Being a Novell admin (version 6), you will not be able to trace the deletion to an IP, unless the admin has installed 3rd party software for such things. Typically, the deletion only lists the username and the date/time stamp. Perhaps that has changed in version 6.5, but I doubt it.
  16. Would you expect anything else?
  17. Wow, Corel has been able to publish PDF's since at least 2000. Way to stay ahead of the curve MS
  18. Thanks all for the kind wishes. I spent the day with my feet propped up on the couch watching football. Not bad at all
  19. Sounds good. Are you going to load the blog and/or forums yourself? If so, you could save some money with godaddy's economy plan. $3.95 per month that includes 1 MySQL database and php, perl, etc. support.
  20. This is just one of many ways to do this: http://www.dyn-web.com/dhtml/tooltips/tip-txt-img.html
  21. I'm just add my two cents and suggest Web Album Generator: http://www.ornj.net/software/webalbum/ If you look at the demo, I tend to not use the index page and just start with the first image page (which will look like the filmstrip you were going for).
  22. No A+ Certification here. I'd rather hang a degree on the wall rather than a certification. No, I don't do computer repair for a living, but unfortunately run into doing a lot of it during the course of a day.
  23. It has something to do with the way IE is displaying the images (title and table background) in the first table row. I tried working with valigns to see if that would remove the space. However, I haven't had much time to fix it. You may want to try adding some valigns, or change the image/s size to see what works. If I get some time and you haven't posted that it's fixed, I'll see if I can put something together that will work.
