I am kind of grumbling. It appears we have about 5 inches of ice/packed snow that need to be removed. It is going to be need to be chipped out, YUCK .

Us to. it started snowing just about an hour ago. We are supposed to get 4-8 inches(for you Canadians thats 10-20 centimeters ). By the end of the day, it is supposed to warm up and start sleeting/raining. The good part is, the snow may keep the sleet from freezing on the ground.

I see you are using that darn metric system. In Celcius it was -14 here :-) The Pacific must keep it a little milder for you.

I am pretty rusty with my scripting, but the following non-scripting method should work. Use the windows search feature to find all image files in your music directory then delete all files that are found.

With about 90% certainty, it is either your power supply or motherboard. Out of those two items I would put the higher probability on the PSU.

Today I got this error trying to run combofix,"Current date is 2007-11-19. This copy of combofix has expired". I used a newly downloaded version from this location.. Any ideas why?

In my town, Dell does its warranty work in home by local technicians. I know this because one of my competing repair shops in town does this. Do any of you know what is involved with partnering with Dell to contract their warranty work? Any ideas what this pays? I have been searching on Dells site, but am not finding the info/application I need to peruse this. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks :-)

I think those are system restore points. Those viruses will only be activated if you restore to an earlier state. If you turn system restore off then on again it will delete all of the restore points(with the viruses).

My server knowledge is limited. I have server 2003 running in my office, but I am using just a workgroup(no need for a domain). Someday when I have time, I should just try setting up a domain with some client computers. If I get the job building a new workstation, I will learn then how to add it to the domain. I figured it would not be to hard to do. That is why your post caught my attention.

I bid on a job to add a new file server/workstation to a windows 2000 server system. I would be interested in the outcome of this(I am not certain how to do it). Please keep me posted on the solution

Are you booting the computer with the recovery cd already in? Is your computer set to boot from the cdrom before the hardrive?

I am not so certain that laptop uses a connector piece between the laptop pins and the motherboard.
