Anyone ever notice that the progress bars on the start up page of Windows XP changed from green to blue after installing SP2? (wow! is that random enough?)

Well, you know NASCAR is a great American sport. Don't see a lot of contorversy, fights by the fans, little or no gambling, an invocation at the start of every race, the National Anthem, and usually an armed forces presence. I have a lot of respect for the the drivers, teams, and owners. Take the Petty family, they have spent millions on the "Victory Junction Gang Camp" for kids. And the fans have donated millions of $40 checks in honor of the son they lost in a race wreck. In fact almost everyone of the drivers have a charity they donate to and work to help raise funds for.

I'm not sure, I use Mozilla suite and I think I have it set to remember passwords to my favorite sites. I never have to log in.

Well last nite was the beginning of summer and today is the longest day of the year. How kewl it was to sit on the deck just at dusk and watch the fireflies flitting around in the gardens. Made coleslaw, grilled cheese burgers and had a few cold beers. Sure wish it would rain, my bones ache and the garden's getting dry. Off to the doctor today, wonder if he's gonna x-ray this busted wrist this time. *brews up some hazelnut coffee and slices the cheese filled coffee cake. Help youself folks, I'm off to work.

BubbaBob, I sure would have complained *LOUDLY* As loud as I would have had it been the wrong meal served, burned, undercooked, or otherwise bad. There is no excuse for loud music in any public place.

I believe it was "Humme Cronin"(spl?) and yes he and Jessica Tandy were married for years and years. Both very talented, versatile actors.Vile_DR, /me wonders just what good airbags are. Maybe this is for the "rant" thread. Found my copy of *batteries Not included! Gonna watch it tomorrow.

The customer is always right! Heh heh Home Depot has a "no questions asked", return policy. Except for custom mixed paint. Ha! Very early one Sunday, this lady comes in with 10 gals. of our most expensive Ralph Lauren paint. Said it was the wrong color for her house and wanted to reselect. ??? I said. "you can't return custom mixed paint" Bear in mind this was almost $300 worth. And one can was partly used. She said a manager told her to get what she wanted. Of course, that manager was not on duty, and the others didn't know anything about the exchange. She was also in a hurry because the pa

I am so lucky. My neighbor of over 25 years has a used car lot right next door. Dang! He knows how to buy them and sells about 6-8 a week. I have bought 5 cars ffrom him through the years and sent many friends there. None of us have been dissapointed. Most of his business are repete customers. He has sold, bought back and resold many cars through the years. *batteries not included One of the best movies ever. Right up there with ET! (goes digging through boxes of video tapes to view it again) Sure did love Jessica Tandy in that one. Where is hittest? I have that cold one here for you.

Ohh, blim. That is a pet peave of mine. Home Depot would throw *everything* into the compactor. Why? I asked? Because folks leave a mess outside when dumpster diving and some even return the stuff up front for money or a new product.

Woah! What about driving through the low rent side of town and seeing those Caddys and Cameros with $1200 worth of tires and rims? Not to mention the "THUMPA THUMPA" stereo systems? Makes me wonder if their kids are getting what they need. Or just who is making an insurance claim on their hard earned stereo... Can't figure out why someone chooses to pretty up a stupid car and live in a dump.

Bless you Sidekickcat, I don't know how funds are in your household, but may be a nice 19" flat panel screen is in your future. They are easier to spend time on and a bigger monitor will help in the size of print. Welcome Back! Blim, no rain in our forcast through Sunday. Maybe it's coming your way? Always beware of what you wish for. I weeded my garden on Monday and today it's all green with weeds again...

This is a great weather program that sits in your task bar. No ads or spyware. Weather Pulse I have used it for a couple of years and I really love it for tracking the storms. You can switch to other towns or the whole US or even other countries.

Wow! Sidekickcat! And blim.. or any of you other ole folks out there....... I don't know about older OS's (98 0r 95) but you can increase the size of the type on the forum by hitting Ctrl and the plus sign (+) once, big, once again I can read it from across the room. Oh jeesch Tenmm, black widows huh? Yep I sure would get the bug bomb out.. And for the stupid Recluse, I had just a mild nip from one and it took over 6 months to heal. Blim, I have heard the Recluse is slowing working it's way up north. Hope I'm dead and gone before they get here. Sorry you're not getting rain, I wonder how I

Dang! Did we get rain!!!! Hissed down for maybe 6-8 hours. Had a "low lying" flood watch and saw a lot of deep puddles on low spots on streets. (Thank you Arlene ) Boy did my garden love it, but the Brit was cursing cause it makes the grass grow. HA! 82F now at 17:50 humidity very high, I'm breaking out in a sweat reaching for a cold Coors.....
