Power Supply Fan Not Working ...
garmanma replied to spirittoo's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Back in March I changed one in my niece's Compaq. The problem was size. I double checked all of the measurements and came up with this ONE. It was a tight fit. I had to take off the front bezel and slide the CD and DVD drives forward, mount the PS and plug everything in, then slide the optical drives back in place. I don't remember what her model was, though -
Back when I was working one of my jobs was to unload rail road tank cars. The vinyl acetate came from Houston. More than a few time we'd find Black Widows or Brown Recluse spiders under the dome. Years back, my leg swelled to 3 times it's size, got cellulites, and almost lost it from a supposedly spider bit. They never could say for sure

Doesn't matter nowadays, they're inter-changeable. Just match the correct form factor i.e. AT, ATX, micro-ATX -

I seem to remember an enable/disable floppy seek setting I have a Geforce 8800GTX and a Viewsonic and I use this cable with no problems http://www.mycablemart.com/ Also found out you can't use adapters with KVM switches -

If you haven't built one in a while, pay close attention to the BIOS settings. I even had to enter if my CPU fan was a 3 or 4 pin with my Abit board -

From what I have read and barely understand, you might have to contact HP for a new set of disks -
What's The Consensus On Vista?......
garmanma replied to irregularjoe's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
If I can sneak it by my wife, I'm going to build a new box by the end of the year and I'll break down and put Vista on it. Trouble is deciding which version -
How come wrong numbers are never busy? Do people in Australia call the rest of the world "up over"? Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard? Why is it called lipstick if you can still move your lips? Why is it that night falls but day breaks? Why is the third hand on the watch called a second hand? Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons? Are part-time bandleaders semi-conductors? Can you buy an entire chess set in a pawnshop? Do pilots take crash-courses? Have you ever seen a toad on a toadstool? Why do we drive on a parkway and park in a driveway?
