This may have been on the national news, but here is the local news on the airplane that crashed into a house shortly after takeoff from local airshow on it's way home to California. It was fully loaded with fuel for the trip, so burned the house it landed on completey, and also at least three neighboring houses were partially burned too and what is left of them is drenched in jet fuel. Nope! We seldom get such violent lightening storms as those depicted in Barb's pictures on the Western side of the Cascade mountains of Washington and Oregon, but the Eastern side regularly does. Though the last couple of years we have had more than the usual number of electrical storms around here, and they can be as deadly as anywhere else. No matter how intense they are I still hate them!!! Pat God bless everyone

Have a great safe trip! I didn't realize you were so far north of Vancouver! I love all the parts of BC I have seen so far, which unfortunately isn't as much as I would like to see someday! (though a one time walk on the Capilano swinging bridge is enough for one lifetime I think!!!) Just have been part way up Vancouver Island and up the Sunshine Coast a bit on the mainland. As far as I know CompUSA and Frys aren't connected. CompUSA bought out Good Guys awhile back. Frys Electronics is owned by Krogers (which owns our local Fred Meyer stores) I just read.
