Hi folks, long time no see! I got a couple of coffee pots for my birthday (and a new sturdy three-step painters indoor step stool with large steps so I can see them clearly to keep me safe while watering hanging house plants!) so here's a new coffee pot to replace the nonworking one here, and a fresh pot of coffee is ready now, so pull up a chair folks while I tell you all what has been going on. This has been a long hard summer, bookended with bad falls for both hubby and me. I did the first one falling off a step stool the end of April, and hubby had to match me by falling off a ladder (at

Happy Belated Birthday to BestTechie!!! Hard to believe it has been two years already, and hopefully it will continue on for many more good years!!! Thanks Jeff, and everyone, for keeping this a good peaceful, stress-free, happy go lucky, slightly wacky in a good way, family place for us to always be proud to be a part of. May it always be so!!! I found the First item in blue called 'Why these results?" the most interesting item on that Google page. Seems that how the results became so skewed was by determined webmasters googlebombing in the way they labeled the link to a certain website so they could raise it to the top of search list. Who knew that Google search results could be so compromised? To bad that this happens challenging the integrity of Google search results!!! Googlebombing "Failure" Pat God bless everyone

Cheapest I saw yesterday while doing errands around town was $2.82. The highest was $2.96. Lowest was down about a nickle or more from week before. I guess the Alaska gas pipeline shutdown wont be affecting our NW prices as badly as was originally thought maybe??? Didn't hear final decision if they decided to close the pipelines down totally or not?! ? I think most states have local taxes, not just Federal tax, on gas don't they? I know both Washington and Oregon do. And most of our roads and bridges are in terrible shape!!! We (Oregon) are one of only two states (New Jersey may be other one

I was over there last night catching up on threads before I came here today for first time in a week and saw this thread. Strange coincidence! I never could get signed up there for some reason, this computer seems to block me at worst, or at very least gives me trouble signing up for things, but do go over there from time to time. May try signing up again. So sad to have a young talented man like that get killed in a car accident!!! With the holiday weekend coming up, stay safe folks!!! Pat God bless everyone

I just checked the national AccuWeather site for the updated tropical storm news and it looks like lots of rain and winds around 60mph for your area Danny. So your drive to airport may be more adventurous than the flight. We have bailed out of Oregon coastal 60 to 70 mph winds in our motorhome, which was iinteresting. And once leaving for home from Ilwaco on Washington Southwest coast with the Columbia River (mouth) with combined high tidal river/ocean waves washing over the Washington road near Astoria bridge. High winds left alot of salt spray on motorhome especially made it hard to see out

I copycatted some of the logger 'jargon' when our place was logged when I was little....surprising too that I added to the already 'rich vocabulary' I'd picked up from dad. Took many years to get that stuff washed out of my mouth. Ha! The logging crew 'adopted' me as a mascot on that job and I guess it worked because no one had any injuries but did on one before ours and then my favorite of crew was killed on their next job. Dangerous work back then. Pat God bless everyone

That was funny JD, but glad I don't live there! Portland claims to be 'the city that works' though evidence is often hard to find. Pat God bless everyone

Planes Landing At Princess Juliana Airport, St. Maarten
thesidekickcat replied to JDoors's topic in On The Web
I used to live near McChord AFB near Tacoma Washington, and the planes sure flew low there. In fact there were signs on the nearby I5 freeway that said "Watch for low flying aircraft". Never did know what anyone was to do that drove that road when they saw the planes though!?! Ha! Ha! Everyone near the AFB were used to adjusting all pictures and stuff on walls everytime a sonic boom happened. Just a normal activity... straighten every picture over and over again and again.. part of daily housework. Pat God bless everyone -

I just Googled luminous paper, and found this interesting site. Glo-net dot com Here is a recent ABC news article about a special new luminescent paper (found down about 10 pages on the Google search I was doing on this). Page 2 of article has strange narrow far right side verticall setup of story, but page 1 and 3 are fine. Paper sure sounds intriguing, especially for digital photography. ABC news about Luminescent Paper created by small company This whole thread has been interesting. Good luck with the project. Pat God bless everyone
