Well my friend from what you are telling us my guess is the drive is defective. I would do a total backup and then get a replacement drive from Seagate. It is not a big deal. You just call them, they ask you to run the diagnostic siftware and tell them what errors are reported. Then the give you an RMA# and you are good to go. If you have a credit card they will cross ship so you are only down a day at most....

They claim that "Happy Hours" encourage the young ones to drink. Yes this is a university based ecconomy but.......As I always have contended if you are old enough to die for your country at 17 or 18 then you should have all the rights to go along with it. If you don't want people drinking at 18 then they should not be able to go into the military either.......Hahahahahahah.....Sorry a sore spot with me for sure....Let Bush and Chaney take a tour over there and maybe even send all of congress for a 12 month deployment and I bet things would change in a hurry......Wasn't it Sir Winston who said, " Old men start wars and young men have to fight them"? Not discounting the women who are in the service by any means......

Back up all your data and then go to Seagates' site and get an RMA. I would do this post haste as that drive could dump all together at any moment.....

Which brings up an interesting point Dave. If you start the thread and want it stopped is it really yours? You know there are other people who post after you but as the person who started the mess can you can your own post?......Hahahahahaha.....Sorry that is kind of rambling but I have had one on here I would like to can but I really don't know how that part of it works after someone else responds because then they kind of have part ownership.....

Well it was not really a proposal you could vote on but here they recently deemed it necessary to ban leaf burning. With all the problems solved here and nothing left to do the city counsel sided with the one person who thought this was a good idea. Of course now to get rid of the mountain of leaves we will all get this fall the city will happly pick up thosae leaves for the modest price of 3 dollrs per bag. Of course you must use city approved bags which by some odd coincidence you can only get from the city........Hahahahahahaha.....TT you should love this one....So my response was ti buy a mulching lawm mower.....

Really, they probably had to get a supervisor to tell them what an RMA was. What happened is I had one that popped a capacitor and blew the oil crap all over the palce. Believe it or not the PS still worked fine. After the "paperwork" I had the new PS via FedX two days later. Not bad service in my opinion.....

Yea I know, it was an entertainment thing for me. I mean when Pete, Dave and all the rest got 1 stars for being perfectly correct I just got a big laugh from it.......ANd then the total BS answers usually got no rating at all......I don't know it was just fun for me and that's all. I never took it seriously for sure but I guess some people would/do......

I can't seem to get Seti to run in the background. I can use the command line and it will work until I reboot. I know nothing about Linux basically but how do I get it to autostart and run in the backgroung? What file would I have to edit for a bootup application I guess is the real question.......Hahahahahaha....
Forgot to mention I am running Mandrake 10.1 if that makes any difference.....

Antec PS's are very good but if you ever have a problem they do make you jump through a lot of hoops to get an RMA. They were polite and all but the process was rather tedious for sure.....

This is just a gag so don't get all flustered, but Jeff is there any way you could add the old "star" rating system. I really kind of miss it. I mean you could link the rating to all the "expert" ratings you have now. As for me you might have to add like a "lame ass" catigory eh?......Hahahahahahaha.....I know it's lame but I still miss it....
