Marty if I remember I use to use the boot floppy that had cd-rom support on it. I would boot up from the floopy, then choose cd support and then I just installed 98 from the cd......

What does it do when you try and boot? Does it just sit there, does it return and error, if so what it the error......

Unfortunately, I have to call myself a Ram's fan. I live in LA and we can't seem to keep a team here. I have more passion in hating teams (Dallas and the Raiders) than in rooting home the Ram's in St. Louis.
I'm almost afraid to see what team ends up in LA. I don't know if I'd rather have an expansion team (with undoubtedly a ridiculous name like Tsunami) or have the Cardinals or the Chargers move in. I keep hoping that the Vikings are the team that moves, but I don't think it will happen.
If I had any say or pull I sure would send you The Bears any day........and The Cubs too for that matter......Hahahahahaha.......forgot, may as well send The White Sox too and the Blackhawks and Bulls......they all suck.....

Yea they heard me but when I contacted my friends who wanted them they already had an account so I don't need them now......hahahahahaha....Go figure eh? They will probably make it open to the public tomorrow anyway with my kind of luck......

I usually run that about once a week or so but I do a lot of software testing and I know my prefetch gets really messed up fast......I can't remember when or where I picked this up though......no matter just glad it helps people out......

You need to start your command prompt, go to run, then type in cmd and a black window will pop up with the c:\ prompt. On that line just type in defrag c: -b and it will defrag the prefetch file for you. When it is done just type exit and the window will close and you are done. If the file was really fragmented you will notice a difference in the time it takes to boot up Windows, usually faster.....also make sure you get the spacing in what I told you to type correct or you will get a syntax error......

If you ever had a video file that you weren't sure what it was encoded with this free program, AVIcodec, is great. It will tell you what video codec was used to encode the file. Well I think it's useful anyway......hahahahahaha....Anyway give it a try......AVIcodec
