ok I will say this again and serious posts only please I have an orignal XP Pro CD but I didn't have it at that time so I borrowed a friends I installed it on my other PC and it won't let me update to SP2, this PC I'm on I bought and have an orignal serial number. what do I do to get the orignal number form this PC on to that one without installing windows or formating?

I have 2 real numbers the one that can't be used anymore is my friends and the one I want to use is the one I bought, so how can I put in the serial number which I bought without formating my PC?

I have a lil problem on my other PC I have Win XP Pro but I can't update to SP2 or any other updates so how can I put in a real serial number because the one I bought isn't working anymore I don't want to format than install XP with the other number. I just want to put in the number with all of my files intact.

I have a rough idea of how to set up a remote desktop but I need to know how I can see whats on another PC that I have because my sister she downloads music, movies and all sorts or spyware and viruses even though she has a limated account she gets all that crap from her msn messanger friends, so heres my question I need to set up a remote desktop so I can go in and uninstall all the spyware and viruses without going on that other computer I want to do it from my computer. could someone show me how to do this please much thanks in advance for your replys P.S. both OS's are XP Pro

All of a sudden I have all my files with there file type extensions on it after the name ie. Document.txt......... config.ini............blabla.exe huh is this because of a windows update or did I just enable something?

I have a normal PC not a laptop I have the sound card up-to-date

this is my first time using Linux KNOPPIX (Live CD) it looked amazing and I had fun with the toys and checking out all of the options it had and what I could do but I have no sound with Knoppix, works on XP but not with Linux can someone tell me why it wont? or how I could fix this problem

all of them look great but I'm geared more towards cool Linux, ADIOS and SULIX but I need some peoples opnions on which is the best all I want to do is learn about it and use it for the internet and maybe messing with it a bit

I found out the problem it's to do with the mouse port when I plug the mouse in the keyboard won't work and when I plug the mouse in the keyboard won't work anymore so I guess I shoud get a new mouse port huh? or just buy a usb mouse. but now the question is why did this happen?
