The files that I did get back are not the right ones, the names are correct but the contents are all wrong, i.e I have a files called ALL and another called 343 they get mixed or have 0 bytes, good thing I backed up most of my files to a spare HD about a month prior . But my fathers work is all gone and I'm dead, I'll give the file transfer a try thx.

OK, I've finally managed to get some of my stuff back and some of my fathers things back, NOW I need to get the things I have on this PC over to my other one, Should I FTP it there or create a creat a network? There are about 20 gbs I need to get over there so what is the best solution?

I'm So SORRY for the secone thread. I have a REALLY HUGE PROBLEM. I installed fraps and uninstalled it and inmstalled a new version of it, when I tried it out it didnt work, so I posted in a gaming forums site they said to do this. ( at bottom) I did that and now ALL my files are gone except the C folders and files, BUT all my documnets and and desktop folders are gone. I've lost about 20 gbs of VERY important information which is mines and my fathers work stuff. I need to know how I can get this back before my dad finds out and KILLS ME. PLEASE HELP ME, I REALLY NEED SOME INFORMATION PLEASE.

That woun't work for what I'm doing though I need either a FTP site or a POP & SMTP site, web based email won't work. nvm got it, I'm using 250 free, pretty good ftp site.

I'm looking for a FTP site that will let me host about 100 mbs (for free), also let me upload about 2 or 3 mbs at once and will also let me email forward files to an email (if there is such a thing). If not a POP/SMTP site that will let me transfer about 20 mbs and will let me forward incoming emails to another email if I want to.

thx for the offer Liz, but I'm going to go with the free alternatives McAfee slows down my PC a bit and I hate that so I will prob try tg1911's programs, I'll also try Avast & Avg . Thank You for all of your replys. P.S. My McAfee will expire in about 25 days so how can I remove it for good not just add/remove and the folder in programs?

Hi, I curently have McAfee installed and the 1 year contract that I have is about to runout so I need a new antivirus. I have ZA which offers a antivirus should I go for it or should I go some alternatives AVAST or AVG Antivirus. ALSO I have a anti spyware program called ewido should I get something else? What is the best?

lol this is so wierd to make it go quicker all I have to do is log in as normal then cancel it, then log in again and it works perfect. I guess I have to do it this way from now on . Thank you everyone for your suggestions and replys.

I just tried it without ZA on and it's the same take really long to log in msnmsgr.exe uses about 19 000kbs while MSN is trying to connect. I can see how many new E-Mail I've recieved but the MSN window with the bodies keep spinning. Everything was fine untill SOMEONE reinstalled it over the existing one, but I've uninstalled MSN and then installed it again so why is it the same? P.S. marko how do I export my contacts?

I just checked my ZA again and it is configured proper and the ports I don't think I need to open those, MSN was working fine just about a month ago. I have no idea why it's so slow now I hav'nt installed anything new, there is no spyware, I've tried reinstalling MSN but no luck . When I log in it takes about 20 secs than I see You Have blah # of E-Mails, than I wait another 3 mins and maybe I'm loged in .

I have a problem with my MSN messenger whenever I try to sign in it take a really long time to finish, I've reinstalled it with no luck. I've checked for spyware and viruses, and my ZA is configured to allow MSN to have internet privileges. I have a Cable connection and Win XP, SP2.

That's what I'm doing now I have SP2 but it still shows up 127 GBs not 160, I've updated my BIOS but still nothing and I'm using ZA I turned off the windows firewall.
