Hey Brian, Thanks so much for the kind words! I really appreciate everything you said, it means a lot to me -- it really does. I don't even know how to say how happy I got when I read your post. All I can say is I do what I do and will continue to do what I do because of our community members (such as yourself) both current and future. We're (all of us) going to build the best tech site on the Internet. And the reason I know this is because we have the best community ever and I will do everything I can to keep it that way. Here's to the future of BT -- it's going to be great! B

Hey, Can you please explain in more detail your proposed changes? I'm open to new ideas and I'd love to hear your thoughts on improving the forums. B

Have you seen the new search engine designed for tablets? It's called Izik and works on iOS and Android -- it also has a web app which can be used at Izik.com. Izik is powered by Blekko and it's pretty cool. Definitely worth checking out. You can read our full write-up and review of Izik here. B

Not free, but I really like Coda or Espresso. Both are great for Mac users. B

I switched to FiOS back in October and I couldn't be happier. The service is great, the speeds are consistent and I got a better deal than my local cable company could offer. I signed up for the 2 year contract to keep the rates down for a while. I'm paying $125 / month for 75Mbps down and 35Mbps up along with a great TV package and phone services. Not bad at all. I'd say go for it.

What's the best screen recording software on the Mac?
Besttechie replied to pez719's topic in Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod
I really like Screenflow a lot. It's really really good. I've used it myself for several screen recordings and its never let me down. Plus, it has its own editing software built-in so that's nice. You can download Screenflow from the Mac App Store here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/screenflow-4/id573279886?mt=12 Also, check out this article I wrote a while back for more information: The Best Screencast Software B -
Hey pez, I'd definitely recommend checking out our new buying guide. We have a whole section of the buying guide specifically for TV's. Check it out here: http://www.besttechie.com/buying-guide/tv/ You'll notice we provide three awesome TV choices, two by Samsung and one by Panasonic. I hope that helps. B

Many people use PIN's on their smartphones in an effort to secure the data on their phone and mobile devices, but is a security PIN enough to keep a hacker out? Unfortunately, it may not be. Check out the article below for more information. http://www.besttechie.com/2012/12/15/think-your-smartphone-is-secure-with-a-pin-think-again/ B

Very nice! Squarespace is a nice platform, was it relatively easy to move to? B

I had that issue, but then it went away... I haven't been able to replicate it. Try marking all as read and then seeing it if it still happens? B

I guess when you put it that way... I'll pass too! B

So you want to take a trip to the moon? Well, buckle your seat belt because the price of a ticket is out of this world (pun intended). Check out the details here: http://www.besttechie.com/2012/12/09/golden-spike-is-selling-trips-to-the-moon/ B

Thanks for the heads-up, Pete_C. Is there any indication that the forums will be taken down? Just curious. Yeah, I just saw that too... feel free to point people here! B

I just wrote an article outlining improved iCloud support on OS X. Basically, I'd love to see OS X offer a better way to allow a user to restore their stuff from the cloud. Here's what I want: I want all my currently installed apps and their preferences/settings, my current system settings/configurations, and my data (documents, images, music, videos, etc) to be able to restored to my Mac via iCloud. In the article, I explain in more detail how I'd like it to work and some possible obstacles. Check it out below. http://www.besttechie.com/2012/12/04/make-setting-up-a-mac-as-easy-as-setting-u

So Microsoft is going after Google with its new Scroogled campaign, but is the campaign as black and white as Microsoft is making it appear? The answer is, not really. Check out my article on both companies shopping search engines. http://www.besttechie.com/2012/12/05/google-isnt-the-only-biased-shopping-search-bing-is-too/ B

Hey guys, With the holiday season approaching, you are probably looking for gifts to buy people. I just reviewed Amazon's new Kindle Fire HD 8.9" tablet, it's definitely a worthy iPad alternative at $299. If you're in the market for a less expensive tablet, you may want to check out my review (video included!). http://www.besttechie.com/2012/11/29/kindle-fire-hd-8-9-review/ B
