  1. Hey Chuck, Yeah, we interviewed him about it. B
  2. Hey Flash, We reported that it could cause eye strain back in March when we spoke to wearable computing expert Steve Mann. http://www.besttechie.com/2013/03/18/google-glass-design-flawed/
  3. According to some reports... Austin, Texas will be the second city to get Google Fiber. They're so lucky! I hope NY is next. Article: http://www.besttechie.com/2013/04/05/google-fiber-may-be-arriving-in-austin-texas/ More info: http://allthingsd.com/20130406/google-fiber-is-coming-next-to-austin-eventually/ B
  4. Check out this brand new app called Takes -- it could be the next Instagram (it's that cool and fun). It just needs more discovery options for finding new "takes." http://www.besttechie.com/2013/04/05/takes-app-transforms-photos-into-video-magically/ B
  5. Very sad. RIP Marsh. You'll be missed. B
  6. WOW! That would really suck. Thanks for the info. Yeah, unfortunately stories like that one are far too common. It really does suck. B
  7. Why not just post those types of posts here? I can add iOS to the title of the forum. I just don't think its necessary to have a forum dedicated to it until we start seeing more posts about it. B
  8. I just published this article earlier today... it's about the making of Bowers & Wilkins speakers. It's a really great read (I think, but I'm biased). The article discusses how B&W defines their products, the extreme lengths they go to when creating their products, and more. Let me know what you think! http://www.besttechie.com/2013/03/22/the-making-of-bowers-wilkins-speakers/ B
  9. Cable Select should work fine, that is probably your best bet. B
  10. Great idea Chuck! Only thing is instead of posting everything under this one thread, I think it'd be better if you posted the articles you're sharing in their own threads with descriptive titles (it's better for search engines that way). B
  11. This is just a shot in the dark, but since you have separate partitions have you tried running chkdsk driveletter: /f (e.g. chkdsk c: /f)? B
  12. Yep, we need to make sure questions are being answered (or at least acknowledged). One thing I'd like to point out though is that the site is actually doing quite well, we're growing, however most of the growth is coming from the main part of the site where we're publishing excellent content. Since I started working on BT full-time around 5 months ago, our traffic has increased 30-40% and our pageviews have more than doubled. We're definitely going in the right direction. I'd encourage everyone to read the main site every day and even leave comments, share the posts on social, etc. B
  13. I decided since we put a lot of money into the redesign to make it all-devices friendly, it made more sense to just utilize the website than focus on building additional apps. B
  14. Yes, he is definitely missed. B
  15. We don't have an iOS or Android app. The main website is a responsive design meaning it's designed to look great and function well on any device. I also believe the forums have a "mobile" theme. B
  16. Pete's right. The more we share the site's content, post comments, and get others to sign-up and post questions on the forums, the better. Plus, if you see a conversation taking place somewhere and one of our articles is relevant, it could help to share it. The more exposure we can get, the better. We've had growth on the main site, but not so much on the forums. I'm hoping to turn that around, but it'll take help from everyone else here, too. You can follow BestTechie on Twitter and Facebook too. Twitter: http://twitter.com/besttechie Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/besttechie B
  17. Hey Shadow Thomas/Novi! Hope you're both doing well, I'm very excited to see you both posting. I hope you guys can make your presence a more regular one. B
  18. Hey guys, Check out this new technology by Qualcomm and DTS... it offers 7.1 surround sound for your smartphone with any pair of headphones. You can find all the details here. http://www.besttechie.com/2013/02/28/qualcomm-and-dts-pair-up-for-headphonex-phone-surround-sound/ B
  19. Here's a new service that allows you to replace your cable TV subscription, it's called Aereo. It's a live TV streaming service that you can use on your computer, tablet, or even smartphone. It also has the ability to hook into a Roku box and stream to your TV. One of the features of the service is a DVR, so you can record shows to watch later, too. I'm currently working on a full review of the service, but you can read more about Aereo here: http://www.besttechie.com/2013/02/25/aereo-expands-in-tri-state/ B
  20. HAHA! That's pretty funny, I feel honored(?) that you would even dream about my site. B
  21. Definitely rooting for SF! B
