  1. Perfect weather this weekend for a change. I got a lot of work done.
  2. Jumper the two power pins on the motherboard that the power button connects to. When you turn on the main switch for the outlet that the PC is plugged into it should turn on.
  3. Toasted roast beef and cheese sandwiches. 100% whole wheat bread, thinly sliced deli roast beef, swiss cheese and Smart Balance spread. Just what the dialysis dietitian didn't order.
  4. My mind wouldn't be functioning either with all that shaking going on down there.
  5. You got lost. This is the PC Tricks and Tips section. Your original question is in PC Support.
  6. The ATI Radeon HD 5570 handily beats the NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 when it comes to gaming.
  7. System Restore will revert your desktop back to what it was for the restore point used.
  8. Any files/folders you wish to save should be located in My Documents. System restore does not affect that folder. Any folders on my desktop are shortcuts to the folders in My Documents. All of my backup drivers and executable program files are stored in folders located in My Documents. 9. This is an issue with Google. They are working on it.

  14. I would look at the Dell XPS 15 series. Of course you would be looking at a price range of $800 to $1500 depending on configuration. They have excellent LCD screens and the graphics cards would definitely handle what you want to do.
  15. Are you looking for something that is light weight? How big of a screen? If you do some work outdoors you may want a matte screen. For photos I would steer clear of LED backlights. Also do you need long battery life?
  16. Multiple ads and pop-ups. If you use adblockers then you can't view the videos. I would stay away.
  17. Dynamic IPs can be slow to change. You may be stuck with your present IP for some time before it changes. You can attempt to reboot your modem/router to force a change. Banning doesn't always involve just your IP.
  18. Put you new address on my list. I got to get ready for dialysis. See you later.
  19. Good to see you made it through the quake okay. I tried to send you an email yesterday through the address you have listed for your account, but it came back undeliverable.
  20. I am being sneaky by munching on bite size Mounds bars and peppermint patties while the nephrologist is talking to the other dialysis patients across the room. The dietitian almost caught me twice.
  21. I was surprised at how few parts are available for Compaq/HP laptops and how much they want for them. I buy and repair older IBM Thinkpads from ebay. The parts listings are numerous and cheap.
  22. You could bid on a parts laptop. AS IS COMPAQ PRESARIO CQ60-211DX LAPTOP NOTEBOOK Here is a back cover for a CQ60. HP COMPAQ CQ60 LCD BACK COVE Screw set. HP G60 Compaq CQ60 Series Original Set of Screws Screw Hinges. Compaq CQ60 hinges
