  1. My web designing skills really suck, but, I've created a Linux site that I think has a lot of really useful information for people interested in learning about Linux or Unix. Creating a website that helps other people in some way can be rewarding. But, the sky is the limit, you can use your website for a lot of interesting projects.

    Test

I've installed IE7 on my XP Pro box. Good to see that IE finally has tabbed browsing. It looks to be a good browser. I'll stick with FF.
  6. Right. Thanks for the tip, iccaros. I'll give it a try.
  7. Is this worth downloading, is it better than 7?

  10. Thanks for checking in Marty! I'm glad you're okay:-)
  11. what fun is that?? Heh, I'm getting tired of dealing with apt-get errors in beta level software:-) I'll still be updating my boxes every six months or so as each release of Slackware and Ubuntu comes out. I guess I've really come to love Slackware, it is my main distro now. Debian Etch is fine, but, Ubuntu 6.06 is just a bit more stable right now. Sarge is nice, but, it is ancient software. I run Ubuntu on one box where I have a hardware incompatibilty with Slackware. I'm sure at some point in a month or two I'll get bored again and do something really stupid with one of my boxes:-)
  12. Over the last three days I've finished removing Debian from my Linux boxes. For some reason Debian Etch began to have file system problems for me, it is beta software. I installed Ubuntu on one of my Debian boxes and Slackware 11.0 on the other one. I think from now on I'll just run stable releases. I'm happy now with two Slackware 11.0 boxes and one Ubuntu 6.06 box.
  13. LOL, funny stuff, Marty!! I love that!
  14. Hey Marty I agree with Dave. When I first saw your post about drinking I thought that the content, message of your post was excellent. However, I felt that the picture was a bit too graphic and not needed to get your point across; I also raised a concern about the picture to the Admin team. I congratulate you on being a caring person, Marty. The dangers of drinking and driving is indeed an important topic for debate/discussion. Take it easy. hitest
