  2. Debian Etch Linux. Using the apt-get package management system in Debian Linux makes software installations and upgrades very simple.
  3. It is 52, cool, over-cast, but, no rain so far today!! YAY!!! The weather is quite nice today. I'm hoping we get a few dry days before the Fall rainy season sets in.

  7. Yeah, I've never had trouble with IBM and anything before. The only problem is I bid on the auction with a few minutes left before I searched for a replacement LCD and YIKES! some of them run $200 bucks! I just assumed they were like ones my boss has purchased in the past for $80 or so. My plans as of now are: Wait until I receive the laptop, hook it up to an external monitor and verify what I purchased. Get a power supply (anywhere from free to 25 bucks) Install a hard drive (I've got a 4, 10, and 20GB here - FREE!) Get a CD Drive (either a vanilla CD Drive for free or maybe a Combo off of

  12. Brrrrrrrr it is a chilly 50 degrees this morning in Northern B.C., Canada, with scattered clouds. Heh, it feels like Fall over here.
  13. It is cloudy, cool, and 55 up here in Canada:-) I'm hoping it won't rain today as I've got contractors scheduled to pour a concrete slab.
  14. I would go to Suse's site and check to see if they have a data base of supported hardware. I've heard that Suse has good wireless support:-)
