Someone please move this log to the HJT Section. Also, I see that you have malware in your log. Please go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp and/or http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/ac...ef=EN-PR-AS-107 Run those scans, and delete all they find. Download HijackThis 1.99.0 from http://dknoppix.com/Downloads/HijackThis.exe. Put it into a folder such as C:\HJT. Open HijackThis, and press the "Scan" button. That will soon turn into a "Save Log" button. Save the log, and post the contents of it here. dk

Hmm... It could be: O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present Some types of malware install this, even though it might not solve your problem. If things come to worse, I might have to email you the files for the installs. Try this (If you haven't done this before)Run these scans in Internet Explorer: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/ac...ef=EN-PR-AS-107 Post a new log. dk

Guess what! I bought this at micro center. This drive in incased in an IDE, and all the crap associated with that, into a USB cable. Well, I found a disk in the box which said : "USB2.0 Storage Series". On the disk was a driver for USB 2.0 HDD Enclosure. Apparently, that was the one that I needed. But the driver doesn't install, just loads up for 15 min. and then windows recognizes it. So now I have everything working! YAY. dk

Yes, on the box it says that it supports 98. I don't know how to load the usb drivers for it. On the box it said that it supported plug & play on 2k and XP, but it will work with 98. Hmm... dk
