  2. Good Morning Team!! I was using my Ipod Touch (64GB) and I downloaded a new show that I like. It would error out and then say "Tap to retry" It would download most of the way and then error out, and seems to be in an endless download loop when I connect to Wifi. Problem is, that I downloaded it successfully and it is on the Ipod, but it would want to redownload itself, error out and stay in the download queue of the Ipod and would NOT go away for a while. It finally downloaded all the way in the download queue, BUT: Is there a way to stop downloads in progress. and delete them from the queu

  5. Good Morning: As Falcon1986 states, if you will describe the problem(s) you are having, as well as the version of windows you are using, and the Version of Internet Explorer you are using, this would be helpful. Without this information, it will be difficult to assist you in determining what the problem is, or how to go about solving it. Thank You! Brian
  6. Found This article on Yahoo, Posted it to BBUS Blog (BBUS Blog Article Link) and figured it would be a good article to post here: Article Via Yahoo Equally Important in the article, is the information below: I am not sure how many of you may have an "Unsecured Wireless Network" but it is important to lock your network down to avoid snoopers, or leeches that can use the connection for immoral or unethical purposes. The FBI could arrect you or confiscate any computers connected to your network due to anyone leeching off your connection. While in training at Geeks to Go, I learned that even

Texann: I am pleased that you were able to get it to work - It is my pleasure to assist you with this Brian Good Evening Texann: I am asssuming that you have VNC server running on your work PC, and setup properly, but you have to make sure that you have set the ports for the access to the server (Usually 5900 or 5901) and that you have to make sure that you open those ports on your router. For example, you have to open port 5900 on your router at home, and open port 5900 at work too. 10. Howdy: Here is an UPDATE for the blogs we manage. I was able to install XAMPP and get it working on localhost (Techno20 = my laptop) Once I noticed that I was able to use Tools>Export and choose "all content", I was able to export the data from barrecity.info and the landlords blog. I exported both installs data files, then saved these files as XML files as directed. Second, I made accounts for each install (On BBUS) and made public_html directories for both accounts. Configured a single install for Barrecity.info on BBUS, and a single install for Landlords on BBUS - There are 2 seperat
  11. Hello Falcon! Thanks for the information - Got another situation for you - maybe you or someone that is proficient with database editing can help me here. OK here is the suituation: I was able to grab the "wordpress" database from a running copy of XAMPP by simply backing up the copy in mysql\data\wordpress, by using PHPMYADMIN. I backed up the database and called it "technoblogs_db.sql. The server that we were using was named "technoblogs" but we could not get wordpress to install to anything other then localhost/wordpress and localhost/wordpress/landlords. Dan was able to fix the problem
  12. Pete: I hope that your wife is OK and it sounds that she is going to be OK: I have a roll in shower, so I have a bench seat that is attached to the wall, and 2 large grab bars on the inside of the shower. I also have a "nurse call" cord that runs from the toilet to the shower, so in the event of an accident, I can pull the cord. When this happens, a bell sounds, and there is a solid white lite that comes on outside my door. Then, all a person has to do is walk up, pull open the door, and search for the person that is down. This is a good system, because the minute the cord is pulled, the

  14. Good Afternoon everyone: Just a quick question: I KNOW that you are supposed to backup wordpress databases PRIOR to running an upgrade, but something happened one day on one of our servers that caused a white screen of death when logged in as an admin on the server. I did not backup anything proior to the upgrade of the server in question, which was running a network upgrade to version 3.1. It HUNG, and then when attempting to login again it showed me a login screen, but when you login, you get a white screen. Is there a way to somwhow go through the wordpress and xampp installs to see wher

  16. Hello Everyone: I was wondering if there are any of you that may know how to configure postfix to allow me to send mail from my linux box? I have postfix responding, but it will not apparently send mail out correctly - comes back witb errors that make it look like the hosts I send to don't like my server. I want to be able to send outnound mail so that when my friend sets up his website and forms, I can then use CGI/Perl/formmail to send out mail from the forms that I generate in html. However, I need some help with configuring podtfix to allow mail to arrive at the destinations I send to, a

  18. Shanenin: I like the commercials - They are cherry, relevant, and informative and catch your eye! You did a good job with these. You are right about advertising, and that you should NOT spread yourself too thin. I wish you and your company well, and I hope to see more commercials as you move forward! Brian

  20. I was not born when this happened, but I do remember the Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster (1986) and the Space Shuttle Columbia Disaster (2003). I can tell you EXACTLY where I was on both occaisions, and I believe what I was doing. I will forever remember the words "Challenger, GO with Throttle up" and Commander Dick Scobee's response "Roger, Go with throttle up" Then a POOF, and a trail of fire that came down in a hell of a hurry. My friend Rex was the one that told me that "The Space Shuttle blew up." I was like "Nooooo WAY" and I went to a teacher and another friend who confirmed it
  21. Good Afternoon Everyone: I have attempted to backup BBUS by following the instructions HERE. In those instrructions, it tells me to do the following as a ONE line command tar -zcvpf /archive/full-backup-`date '+%d-%B-%Y'`.tar.gz \ --directory / --exclude=mnt --exclude=proc --exclude=var/spool/squid . Of course, I have a different system partition that I want to use for the backup, so I want to use it like this: tar -zcvpf /home/admin/fullbackup/full-backup-`date '+%d-%B-%Y'`.tar.gz \ --directory / --exclude=mnt --exclude=proc --exclude=var/spool/squid . I get '/home/admin/fullbackup/ful
  22. 24. Problem solved: Borked install of XAMPP must have messed up the Wordpress blogs: I still have NO idea why, but Dan did a reinstall of XAMPP for windows and Wordpress 3.03 and it works Fine now. Brian
  25. Good Morning! Today, I am working on installing wordpress 3.03 after we experienced a Clamwin Antivirus update that hosed our blog server. We have since reinstalled Windows Server 2003 R2 Stanadard Edition, Service Pack 2 and XAMPPlite, which appears to be working fine. The Problem is, that we have a site called Barrecity.info Blog that we want to link to the main site of Barrecity Dot Info. We have installed and configured XAMPPlite, and it appears to be working well, EXCEPT that if you go to the BarreCity.info BLOG, the Theme Pictures will NOT show at all, and will come up as BIG Boxes wit
