  2. Hello Everyone: I know that in addition to having a messaging error, for the reasons as is stated in the linked information, that you can also get this error if you asked your carrier (AT&T Wireless) to BLOCK things like Cellular Video, ATT Mall, Music, etc. I have asked them to block all access to the internet, EXCEPT messaging, because of the fact that you can be charged for just connecting to the internet and SITTING there, doing NOTHING - just sitting in a browser can cost .01/kb - I had a bill one month for like 13.00 for errant activations of the phone's browser, so I blocked it, bu
  3. Thanks, Bozodog, I am glad I wasn't aboard that bus either, although I have ridden aboard that vehicle (Bus 924) in the past - I am thankful that the driver did what he had to do, and was able to finally stop that bus, because the wreckage was strewn all over the highway for a distance of a QUARTER MILE!! As for the seatbelt question, Chris Cole, Execuutive Director of the GMTA and CCTA says that there were no seatbelts in the bus, because they were not available at the time of the bus manufacture date. This means that anyone seated in the bus in the seats did NOT have seatbelts available.
  4. POLICE: Crashed Bus had No Mechanical Problems (Times Argus Dot Com -LINK) According to the Paper this morning, there has no mechanical problems with the bus, which means that Vermont State Police will now reinterview the driver, and take a look at the Video Survailance Cameras aboard the bus, to determine what, if anything was happening while the vehicle was moving from Burlington to Montpelier on I89. I am wondering if a sudden gust of wind may have done something and made the bus do what it did - It was stated that the brakes failed after the accident, but a gust of wind can throw you a l
  5. Not sure JDoors, but the number of times I have asked to be placed on the DNC list has increased, but these darn calls, you CAN'T be removed from, because they just keep calling and calling......I just now hang up on calls from the National Association of Police (They called at least 3 times in a week) - Wish I had a format command for the systems that call repeatedly and are scammers heheheheh Brian
  6. Agreed: CID sometimes can be fooled, but the problem is that we would have to be able to get rid of these companies that have phone banks that call people up just to harrass them, or sell something that is illegal, questionable, or immoral. States like Florida have laws that say that CID must show the number from where someone is calling, so that the person can know where to reteun a phone call to. If a customer wants to contact these places, it is there right, but it is also our responsibility to nix companies who call and try to "wrangle" someone into something when they don't need it or w
  7. Yes, I am VERY happy that no one was seriously injured. I would normally ride on the right side of the bus, behind the entry door, in a locked down position. The chair is connected to the vehicle with a 4 point strap down system, where the driver would hook to the front of the wheelchair, then hook the other 2 into the back of the chair on the frame. all 4 tie downs are connected to the vehicle, so IF I were to roll forward or get into an accident, the straps would cinch up and hold me STILL. I also wear a lap belt that holds me in postion. GMTA and CCTA Drivers are professionals, and I am
  8. I wanted to thank everyone again for the well wishes on my Birthday!! I spent it with my mom, My aunt, and stepdad at home Friday the 8th, then watched the new Star Trek Movie with my brother Mike and my friend Paul, on the 9th, then spent Mother's Day with my Mom, and was visited by my dad and stpmom on Sunday afternoon. I was also called by my brother Scott and my brother James. I got to talk to them during the weekend, and it was peaceful and quiet, so I am happy that everything seems well. Thank you for your kind words and well wishes - It is appreciated Brian
  9. LINKAGE I picked this one up off of Yahoo!! These "Robocalls" as they are referred to, are nothing more than a scam because there is NO WAY to remove yourself from these call lists, they don't allow you to see what the heck you agree to until AFTER they hook you, and the warranty does not cover what it is supposed to, and even when you do ask NOT to be called again, they call back. I have gotten so many calls from this and another similar entities that I wish we could QUASH these rediculous calls. I get the calls for being out of warranty on my car, and I do not drive, and I get calls from "
  10. At about 10:47AM, I was sitting at my desk and I went in to read the Tmes Argus, my local newspaper. I saw a Breaking News Story with Bus Plows Into Cars on Interstate 89 in Middlesex (VT) as the title. at about the same time, I got a look at what our local TV station had on the story, with Video as well Wild Crash Closes Interstate 89 This bus is a GMTA LINK Express bus, which commuters use to get from Montpelier to Burlington, and from Burlington to Montpelier. Apparently, the driver was approaching a construction zone, hit a car and tried to stop, but his brakes failed, so he had to swerv

  14. Thanks Dan - This Badboy is gonna rock!! I can't wait to be in a proper seating arrangement, so I don't hurt my back, shoulders, etc - I will post pics of the wheels that were mounted to the chair I tested, as well as my current Quickie 2, in Candy Apple Red. When I get my new ride, I will also post pics in this thread Brian
  15. Set what? The typical rule of thumb is to set your virtual memory twice that of your physical RAM amount. I'm not sure what good setting "." would do. Feel free to explain yourself. B Agreed, Jeff - Setting "." would not be effective, however, checking mine, (Virtual Memory) I have it set for 1536-3072MB. Right Click My Computer Select Properties Click Advanced Tab Find Performance Click Settings button Click Advanced Tab Find Virtual Memory Click Change Button Adjust VM as directed by Jeff, setting it at 2x your total ram amount. When done, click OK, Then OK
  16. I must agree with marty on this one!! Anyone who uses CCleaner or ANY OTHER type of registry cleaner should be aware of the problems that it can cause. I am in training for malware removal, and one of the first things we were told was NOT to recommend the use of this or any other registry cleaner to ANYONE. They do NOT speed up your computer significantly, can remove legitimate reg entries, and cause irrepairable harm to your PC. Warnings should be posted, but these programs are, and can be DANGEROUS if you do NOT know what you are doing, and use it improperly. Please, do NOT just go downl
  17. Yep - Toxic Green - It looks like this:
  18. I have been contacted by the Fletcher Allen Seating Clinic. The rehab specialist from TMS (Vendor) will be here with the PT for my wheelchair fitting on Tuesday, May 26, 2008 at 12:45PM EDT This is the day that I will officially take delivery of my 2009 Quickie2 in Toxic Green, with Emotion M11 Power Assist Wheels. I have been told that there was an earlier date for the fitting, but I would have to travel to Colchester VT, and arrive at 8:30 - which is impossible - so I will be fitted here at Washington - This will be GREAT for me, because I have to have an MRI on my left shoulder and after
  19. success suck less (it just popped into my head ......might have something to do with the new pain meds I just started taking tonight). Unfortunately "success" for me has come down to just not hurting as much. Hence, life sucks less = success. ... drinking-straw-with-a-pin-hole-in-it sucks less... I guess . Frustration! Shoulder Pain It sucks, because I've had pain in my shoulder for 2 years, and now I am going back on monday to have it looked at again. Brian Tell me about it! 20. heheeheheheheheh Brian
  21. I have heard that my Emotion Wheels are NOT the featured M14 or M15 wheels, but the older M11 wheels. Apparently, the newer wheels became available after my evaluation, and the M11's were ordered, and then I found that Medicaid paid for the 11's. The newer wheels have one thing going for them. M14/M15 wheels have Li Ion (Litium Ion) batteries, and last longer, meaning that they can go 16 miles to a charge. The 11's do not have the newer batteries, and I think they last the day on a charge, while the 14's/15's can go 3x as far and last 3x as long. However, I am just happy to be getting these
