  1. My best to Marty and all affected by this situation - I will keep you in my prayers Brian
  2. Hello Everyone This week, I was informed that my debian 4.0 (Etch) loaded server had suffered a failure because the RAID card inside had a dead battery, which caused the RAID Array to forget about the drives that were connected to it, so Dan replaced the RAID card in my server with one from one of the several his, and when I arrived, he had already had started the process of rebuilding the array - after several attempts to rebuild it, I just relented and reinstalled Debian. This tme, I am using Debian 5.0 (Lenny Stable) and have installed it with as much of the older stuff that I can, and I h
  3. Hello Team! Well, I have taken my chair to Burlington, VT for the first time! On July 7, 2009, I took the LINK Express to Burlington to spend a couple days with my friends. I must say that not only was I impressed with the way the chair handles, but also impressed with the way I can control the chair!! I went DOWN an incline that was steep but gradual, and all the way down, I had my hands on the wheels for control - I was able to control the chair on the decent, and then was able to push the chair UP an incline with ease. I was SO HAPPY to be in Burlington!! what a difference - and the sid

I have been posting in there, and I have also increased the amount of posting I do - partially because of my malware training - the articles there are really interesting and Peaches, you have done a GREAT Job - Keep that up!! Brian
  5. Happy Birthday to you Mark - Sorry thisone is late!! Sounds like you had fun!! Brian
  6. Pete: I use a product called "Digester" which is an enzyme that deals with urine and feces very well - It dissolves the stuff and the enzymes "eat it" up - I use this to clean and deordorize my bathroom, sink, toilet and shower and thier drains. If I "miss" the target, I just spray that and let it sit for a while, and all is well. Brian
  7. Jeff: Thanks for dealing with this "spammer" I wondered if the guy "steve" may be a bot because of the strange display name he had listed - the information here is very useful so as you say, it should be left Thanks for all you, and your staff do to make this place the way it is It IS appreciated Brian

  10. Tjet: No problem about the color - I wanted something different and unique - seems like everyone can get Red, Blue, Yellow, etc, color chairs, so I thought the Toxic Green would be unique - and I have already heard from others that they like the color they should see her coming, because as you notice, the Emotion Wheels (Pic 2) of my original post, have reflectors built in - so if light hits them, I should be able to show up really well Brian
  11. Yesterday, I upgraded the Cable Box in the livingroon to HD, so I am all set as far as that goes - It is clear as a bell and awesome Brian
  12. heheheh No problem!! The 5.1 Surround Sound System is above the TV on the shelf Brian
  13. Steve: Thanks: As far as I know the way the chair is controlled is through the use of the handrims and small "joysticks" that connect to the handrim and the inside base of the hub. The Tire is a 24" Pnumatic that can be replaced when it needs to bem simply by removing the tire and tube after deflating it. Yes, that is a "Wheelie Bar" in the back - Quickie2's (like all lightweight chairs) has these as standard equipment, so that the operator (me) DOES NOT flip the chair over. I have them adjusted so I can pop a wheelie, but not flip the chair over. With Emotion Power Wheels, they are REQUIRE
  14. hehheehe Thanks for that Mr. Bill, I needed that one hehehehehe I don't think, however, that I would need a Gas Powered La-Z-Boy or a Jet Powered Outhouse - could be dangerous hehehe Brian
  15. Thanks Peaches: When I get up at 6am, she will be fully charged, and I will be road testing her at full charge - every time I look at her, I cannot believe its MINE - I've waited so LONG for a new chair......This one is MINE, and now that you mention it, she DOES look like the color of a Granny Smith Apple!! hehehehehe LOve this Brian

  18. OK Team Besttechie, Here she is: I will show her in both setups - First, as a STOCK Quickie2 with 24" Pnumatic MAG Wheels (640x480 Res) And NOW as a Quickie2 with Frank Mobility Emotion (M11) Power Assist Wheels (640x480 Res) Isn't She Pretty?? This is one thing that makes me SO Happy I am almost in TEARS because I actually feel GOOD sitting in her, and I am able to sit UP and control the chair alot better - and even though I am still in pain, I think with continuation of therapy, I will get better, because the Emotion Wheels take alot of pressure off my arms and shoulders, I just tap or li
  19. Yeah, I didn't mention it but if I WERE to go big enough to not lose picture height, I'd have to completely rejigger my shelves. Fortunately the shelving unit is totally adjustable and I COULD do it, but there's no freakin' way I could afford that size TV! JDoors: This TV was $299.99 ay BestBuy - In NH, so no tax Brian
  20. Peaches: No Problem!! TODAY IS THE DAY!! - Thank you for your well wishes Yes, that's right - I will get my new ride today, as well as an orientation on the way my new chair is to be used, cared for and charged, and other things - I am EXTATIC and happy as heck!! I will post pics when I get it, and I will make sure I have a couple with ME IN IT Brian
  21. To get the same picture height with standard-def programming, of which there is still a lot, I would have to get a 56 inch screen. Yike$! JDoors: My Parents HD TV is a Sony Bravia 46" - about 20" bigger then mine, but I don't think I would go any bigger, because as Pete says, it fits in the cabinet, and for added safety, my stepdad removed the swivel base and the mounting hardware so that I would have a flat box to set the tv into - He said the swivel base is unsafe, because if you move it wrong, then you could lose the TV So he says that later, he will take some wire and attach the TV to t
  22. Hello Everyone!! I figured that since I got a really cool Birthday Present that I would share it with everyone. It has taken me about a year to pick the right Television to replace my aging JVC 20" Flat Screen SDTV. I bought this TV with my birthday money. With the help of my parents, I have now replaced the old JVC with the TV below, which has been photographed and sized at 640x480 - It is a Dynex 26" LCD HDTV - specs HERE Here she is in my living room The Movie I am running is Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn. I have this TV set up in Widescreen, VirtualSurround mode, and I have 2 HDMI ports
  23. Peaches: Interesting Read - Thanks for this look into the "human side" of these techies Brian
  24. Hello Everyone: Here is a question I would like to pose. We all know that on computers we have USB Ports, and if we don't have enough of them, we can hook in a Hub that can do 4-6 ports for you to connect external devices. However, is there a way to do this if you have 2 HDMI ports, and more then 2 devices that you want to share the ports? Both of mine are on the back of my new TV, and I am wondering if you can get a device like an A/B switch or a HDMI Hub to do this, so I can switch the devices without plugging and unpluggintg them? Is there such an animal?? Curious.... Brian
