  1. Happy Birthday Terrorist75 - Hope you enjoyed yourself and were able to relax Brian
  2. Marty: You are never too old to begin malware removal training[ I have wanted to do this stuff for 4 years, and I finally took the plunge in 2007 - Matt has completed training, and recommended GeekstoGo for Malware Training - many of the staff here are also staff over there, and when I am done, I will be able to analyze HJT logs - It will be my pleasure to be able to serve my community Brian Malware Trainee
  3. Marty: Just FYI for anyone questioning new software any antispyware/antivirus software that you question should be checked with spywarewarrior - this is the first place I check when analyzing HJT logs during my training steps. If it is listed there, I know that it is a rogue, and I take appropriate action - and remove it from the log - If it shows as DELISTED I color it ORANGE and advise the victim/user of its status, and tell them that it is an optional removal. Hope that helps Brian Malware Trainee
  4. Congrats Rock!!! Well Deserved I second Matt's comments about Rock! He works VERY hard to help individuals with computer problems, teaching people about how to remove malware, is VERY knowlegeable, and has even helped yours truley with HJT logs for both my machines. He is an asset to the BT community, and I am glad to call him "friend" I hope to be able to work with Rock in *MY* training too Congrats man and THANKS AGAIN for all you do around here - it IS appreciated Brian
  5. Liz: You'd be SO RIGHT!! I don't really know why that happened, but I am glad that I had my friend Bill here to check that problem - and you'd better believe that I am gonna have BHA and Sears check that stove, cause you really should NOT have to breaker your stove on and off! I think what they might do is replace the stove, but yesterday I baked something in the oven and did not seem to have any problems with the surface burners, but that is something that is gonna be checked nonetheless Take Care, Brian
  6. I love the microwave, but use the stove top all the time. How do you sautee stuff? Even something as basic as fried potatos needs a flame and oil. I limit my intake of fried foods, fats, starches and etc. If on a rare occasion I want something fried I toss my iron skillet on the grill and use canola oil. I have lost 180 lbs. between the exercise and dietary changes, plus that old bloated liver being discarded. Congrats on all the good things you have done with your changes! I have been working out for over a year 3 days a week and have changed some of the things I eat as well. Mostly been
  7. Thanks for the edit Chappy heheehe my spellink sometimes needs to be corrected ~brian
  8. The adventures continue......... Yesterday, I went to my workouts, and did my normal routine, and everything was fine. However, I went to the mall yesterday afternoon, and when I returned I thought that my friend had used my stove or oven. I smelled something cooking, but the funny thing is that there was nothing cooking - The oven had been shut off since the night before, and I also checked the burners, and the controls were all in the OFF position. The strange thing was that the burners were all HOT to the touch!! So, knowing that there was something amiss, and knowing that the stove is ne
  9. Happy Birthday TYME - I am so happy for you and I hope your family is well - with a new baby, its QUITE understandable that you will NOT have as much time online as you once did - I look forward to hearing from you soon, as do the rest of the BT Family, but you take care of yourself and your family, and stop back whenever you can - That is a beautiful pic All the Best, Brian
  10. Nurse (who helps you when you are sick)

  12. OK Matt - I ran HJT and cleared an R3 entry for the Yahoo toolbar (I do not use it) and the specified 016 entry - also went and cleared the cache Will let you know how things are running in a couple days........Then I will post a HJT log for defiant so that I am running clean on both machines Thanks for all your help and encouragement during my training Brian
  13. Matt: Thanks Dude: I will do as you instruct, and if you want me to post back a fresh HJT log afterwards I will do so Oh, btw, my Java was autoupdated this weekend Brian
  14. Here is a Snippit from a Blog post that has a bunch of funny characters: Does anyone know why my blog has a bunch of Â's? Never seen this before and I had to manually delete a bunch of them? Figured I let Jeff know about this in case his server move had something to do with this strangeness..... for the full post: go to: Brian's Blog Go to the Post entiled "WyldRyde: My New Home" to see the funny characters Thanks, Brian
  15. I've worked on a few REALLY old systems. You're right about that Mark Yes, I am glad that my landlords keep up with the safety systems it makes me feel better knowing that I am safe - I keep my scanner on, so if there is a fire or police call, I know what the devil is going on - those sprinklers save lives and this was so evident when at North Barre Manor, we had a FIRE in an apartment on the 10th floor - Those sprinklers kept the FIRE damage to a minimum, but the WATER damage was evident in the 08 cluster of apartments from 11 down to 2, plus the main floor livingroom celing and floor were
  16. I assume that blogs will be moved as well? Good Luck with the Move Jeff - we are behind you all the WAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! All the best, Brian
  17. Well, I had fun with my dad, as I always do when I visit him - What my Dad calls me for a Joke name would NOT be appropriate for posting here on BT, so I wont post it here The only person who refers to me as "Brain" is my Aunt, who has Downs Syndrome - she knows my name is Brian, but always writes "Brain" because she spells my name backwards Its kinda cool though I love jokin round with my dad - and spending time with him is something I enjoy alot Brian
  18. I would also like to wish all dads a HAPPY FATHERS DAY I got to spend some of today with my dad - He came home after church and brought me some KFC - a Big Box Meal - It Had a Chicken Leg, a Chicken Strip, a Box of Popcorn chicken, a buscuit, a whipped potato with gravy and a coleslaw.....and of course a Pepsi So I got to give my dad his card, and he liked it, and I also got to see my stepdad, as he brought me some new pants and a shirt, because I am attending my Gram's funeral thursday morning.......She died early friday morning from pnumonia.....and she had alzheimers....so she is in a bet
  19. hehehehehe - Good One Marty: I should send this to our new chief in my town - he'd probably laugh pretty hard - also have a friend of mine who is a Vermont State Trooper - these are awesome - thanks for the laugh I NEEDED that Brian
  20. I think its cool that they preserved this vehicle in a "time capsule" however, it will be rusty, and who knows what happened down there for all these years. While she may be rusty, my question is, will this thing be able to be started? It is a collectors dream, and she will be able to be restored - Someone will get ahold opf her, and take good care of her - this car will be remembered Brian
  21. Today, I found out that BHA is testing our sprinkler system. When they do this, they add enough air pressure to set off the system to see if it works. When they do this, an alarm sounds outside my bedroom window, and the flow pipes expel water like mad. The first time it happened, it sounded like a waterfall, as water was GUSHING out of the outflow pipe - I went to investigate, and foind that in addition to the pipe that is under my bedroom window, that there is one attached to the side of the building, which I can see from my kitchen window When all that water comes out it sounds like a T
  22. Happy Birthday to you BOTH; Mark: I hope you had a great day - I am sorry this is late, but wanted to send you belated Birthday wishes YUM - spaghetti - sounds awesome Brian
  23. Good Morning: I know I have not been here much lately, and this is partially due to the fact that I have been busy with life. I figured I would come back in and let you all know what has been going on here at home for the past few weeks. TRAINING: seems to be going well, and I have been learning alot. I have passed 4 logs already and hope to start my next log soon. Now I know what a HJT expert has to go through to get a machine clean. My teachers are cool, and I have been learning some valuable lessons over there, and I hope to be able to assist my community soon. BT BLOG: I recently up
