Hey, Mr. B. Can you get a link put at the bottum of the post listings? That way when we get to the bottom of reading and/or answering longer post, we can click on it to get back to the main forum site. Now I have to go clear back to the top of the page to use thelink there to get to different post

Service Pack 2 Problem & Question For Ya.
JSKY replied to Shadow_Thomas's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Shadow_Thomas; The best and quickest way to remove Norton. Is to use your Norton install disk. Run the disk as if you were going to install it. Choose to install the programs, it will come to a spot that tells you what will be installed. (has a drop down window showing AV, System Works, Norton Ghost, etc). When you get to this point. Each program has it's own dropdown mini menu. Open up each one of these and put a check on "Do Not Install On Hard Drive". Then proceade to install the programs. The disk will searce for and remove the programs you choose not to install and will remove them from -

Makes me glad to see the poeple on this board aren't seflish, And don't try -----"Dumb Things", to get people to beg for them. (ie. Find it on my website, tell me why you should have one, and so on). I'm proud of you all!! Three cheers to you all!

Unless M$ is going to come out with another SP2 disk in the future. It will still be the same upgrade. But yes I can understand your concerns about it. I run the IT version on both of my PC, One is a Compaq, (my backup). And the other is on my homebuilt one. Both went without any problems. And I'm not having any problems with any of the programs "That May Behave Differently" That I have installed. As long as you follow everyones advice on installing SP2, I see no real problems. But like you said, there could be fixes M$ put out before you do decide to upgrade. And it's not going to hurt anyt

Well, I gave a couple away to our Men (and Woman) over seas in the gulf. They really enjoy gmail for the reason as being over there and only having limited time at the back lines to get e-mails from family and friends, That yahoo and hotmail, etc. run out of space real fast when everyone is sending pictures and long e-mails. with gmail they can get alot of mail and pictures. Also gmail is good for storing files and other things on, you can archive things and use it as a personal library if you want.

I'm having no problems with ZA. Working like a charm with SP2.

I'll put in a vote for IrfanView.

That is why I moved over here to give mine away, wanted some good members to be able to enjoy them. And I can tell by the names of who allready wanted one that they aren't newbies to the tech world. And I still have 2 unclaimed, if anyone else needs one.

Have you done a Disk cleanup and defragment? Clean out your browser cache and clean up your cookies? You can also set your system to do a disk scan, booting into safe mode to run it.

There are exeptions to anything one does, But if you use P2P. Save it to a folder and do a complete virus scan on it first. Have heard of some bad situations with opening P2P files.
