Well, if this^^ is the vehicle that is whistling, I'd be more worried about other things Seriously though, the seals between the doors and the body may look "good", but still whistle. For auto forums, you might try finding one specific to you vehicle. Or, Car & Driver has good auto forums. Doityourself.com is also good.

^^ That gave me a laugh this morning.

IMO, a brake check when someone is tail gating is the correct thing to do. Maybe not so hard that they crash , but enough so they get the point.

Happy birthday, Blim! Wow, 99? Amazing

I know it's a honda... but 170K miles? Rather bland to... But so are most imports compared to domestics. Really though, I wouldnt pay over $4k for a 97' with that many miles. What's the blue book value? Good luck on the hunt.

Hey Honda Boy, ask around at automotive forums. There's usually someone around with a subscription to carfax that would be glad to look up a car for you. About about your choice. THree words. Ford Focus SVT. The best hatchback you can buy

Thanks. Im glad I finaly took the plunge. However, I feel overwhelmed. Could you recommend a good book on Linux? I'm thinking about ordering The Linux Bible off Amazon to jump start me.

Wow, a little to close for comfort there Jdoors. Non-drivers are a harzard to everyone. THis reminds me of a wreck I came across on a two lane highway a couple weeks ago. The posted speed limit was 60mph, but 3 bikers where obviously doing more. A truck pulled out in front of them as they were coming around a blind curve. One biker was in a tree, one in the gaurd rail, and one under the truck. No ambulance/cops had arived yet, and not one of the three bikers was moving.

Maybe someone is trying to tell you it's time to buy a Civic hatchback... How are the new wheels? Glad everyone is alright.

To make my switch to Linux permanent, I really need a good audio player. Ive tried Xmms, Real, and a couple others. None of which make the cut. I'm looking for a program that will hold and organize my music so that I can play/search for certian artists, genres, albums, etc... In windows a use WInamp and really like it's Library organizer. Can someone point me to a decent player for linux?

were they minimized to your taskbar? I think gnome has a task bar by default. Sort of. I added "Window Selector" to my task bar, and that's where they seem to be running off to. I also added the virtual desktop panel, very nifty.

Gotcha, thanks Hitest

Hello BT, I installed Fedora Core 5 over the weekend (as a dual boot to my windows XP machine). This is my first time exploring the world on Linux. Things are going well so far, except for one small thing. I can't figure out where my programs go once I hit the minimize button. It shows the window go off the bottom right corner... then nothing. Any help is appreciated, Thank You

He's finally growing up Kidding. Well, I can't think of a better time to travel. Many people put it off, then they wake up with 3 kids and a mortgage. See the world while you can. I hope if all works out for you.

Let's Say Thanks This is a service sponsored by Xerox. Also, the card is sent with a "care package" from Give 2 The Troops. According to the site, over 2 million cards have been submitted. If anyone turns this thread political, I will hunt you down.

Your discussion about how useful they'd be at home is fine, but there's been a lot of talk about other uses for "human" chips, usually ending in how the information in them could be abused without your knowledge (since anybody with the right equipment could read them). ^^^

What kind of deductible did they make you take on "sandstorm" damage? How about towing charge to the next oasis? I got a great deal. It's includes free 24/7 towing (but there's an extra charge if they have to use more than one camel to pull me out of the sand trap). Haha! GOod one SethHook! Anyway, I still haven't found anyone willing to beat USAA....

Hmm, I think I'd be pissed if my parents had given me "implants". (pun intended) Really though, something just doesn't seem right about it. I'm still waitin for the goverment to insert chips into us and say it's "for our own good". Maybe it's the conspiracy theorist side of me, but chips don't belong in people.

Same here. I didn't think he could turn that "graffiti" into something like that. Amazing.
