Greetings all, I apologize for any dumb questions that I am about to ask. I want to share all files between computers. I have 2 computers. They both run XP home.I am on a wired router. I also run ZAP. Both computers see each other. I know I can drag and drop into the shared folder. I also know I can share files going through accessories. If I share files through accessories do I pick c drive on both computers? and can I move email between computers(rather than mailing it back to myself) The computer on the first floor is the main computer. I mainly use the computer in the basement when wife is

Greetings all, I have a question on Norton system works 2005. When it scans an email(outgoing)I just see the little arrow going into the envelope(in the task bar) I just updated from system works 2003. In sw 2003 there was a percent displayed as a progress indicator. (so if you sent a large email you knew how far along you were) Does anyone know if they did away with the percentage indicator in sw 2005. Thanks, Pat

I picked that name because got my first (used) computer around 2000-2001(around my early 40's) TTV was the first computer oriented station I had ever seen. call for help and the screensavers were shows I watched, and also my very first boards. I barely knew how to turn the computer on, the name is short for novice

Hi all did some digging and found I could do a backup on cd. I think I have to back it up on c drive and then burn it to cd. I have another problem though( with cd)when I try to create a disk for the network wizzard. It will only let me use the media for card reader. At least when I had the old computers it gave you a choice floppy or cd. I don't have any digital camera's so I don't have any storage media. I ould go out and get some I just don't know what to get. It gives me a choice of mmc/sd(f), compact flash(g), smart media(h), ms/pro(i). Thanks any help is greatly appreciated, Pat

Hi Marty, geezze I haven't seen that since I had "98" didn't even know they still did that Take care, Pat

yes I have tried to change the drive letter but it only allows you to choose one of the card reader bays

Greetings all, I dont understand why the computer won't give me the option of backing up the computer on a CD (which would be drive d) instead it gives me the option of backing up to the smart media drives(f,g,h,i) any help would be greatly appriciated.I have (2) computers which do the same thing. thanks, Pat rig1 athlon xp 3000+ windows xp home 512MB ram 333fsb 160GB HD 8 in 1 digital media reader cdrw dvdrw nvidia GeForce4 MX RIG 2 Celleron D 330 (266GHz) windows xp home 512 MB ram 80GB HD 8 in 1 digital media reader cdrw dvd

novi replied to TymeKyller's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Hi Tyme, Hope you can read this. Long tyme no hear. My wife has been ill so I haven't been on either board much at all, for a long time. My wife is finally on the up side recovering nicely from surgery. I hope to be comming back with a little more frequency. I tried to pm you on the other boards but it said you were not accepting any messages. I have an old e mail addy for you and don't know if it is any good. I have to run to work. I'm late take care, Pat PS what was the name of the new program you were using?
