  3. Does anyone know if the problem I'm having is due to copy right laws. All I want to do is add individual songs from Cd's I already own, or internet radio stations I listen to. I was able to do this before(but not sure if that was before I upgraded to windows media player 10) Can I roll back to windows media player 9? I know I can rip songs onto the computer, but when I rip songs I do not get a chance to make selections. It rips the entire CD. I have googled til I'm blue, checked MS newsgroups just cant seem to find an answer. Any help is greatly appreciated (please excuse my stupidity, Most of
  4. Greetings All, I have a question on the "add to library" button at the bottom left corner of the player (the one with the big green plus sign) when I click on it," add currently playing item" and "add currently playing play list" are greyed out. I have used it in the past with no problems. Just wondering if a setting is disabled or something. Using media player 10 with xp home. Any help as always is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pat

  6. Hello everyone, Thanks to all who replied. Problem solved. This was definitely an education. I do not think this was a root kit problem. The record company is lyric street, who is connected to Disney, who is connected to Sony. The CD does not have a XCP on the case anywhere. The album was made in 2004. I solved the problem by going into the program control and banning it in all zones. I was afraid that when I did this the CD would not play, but it plays fine. The only thing it will not do is auto play.(which is good) Thanks TT for all the good info. Thanks, Pat
  7. Found additional info: Application FLTEnhanced.exe Original file namemacromedia projector Is there any way to stop application when CD is inserted in computer either through zone alarm or some other method. Thanks, Pat
  8. The wife has no problems playing it on a cd player (we only have a portable CD player) She likes playing the CD's on the computer because the sound is so much better. It's just all this other garbage comes up when you just want to hear music. I don't have this problem with any other CD's Thanks, Pat
  9. Greetings All, I hope I'm posting in the right place. I am so mad right now I could spit fire. I bought what I thought was a plain old music CD. It is not, it is flt enhanced (whatever that is) My wife tells me she can not play the CD on the computer without registering. She registers and I figure OK maybe it needs to have a cookie to bypass the login screen. It takes you to a login page where you can see the video and fan club and other various junk, record label etc. The only way to kill the two log on screens is to pull up the task manager by hitting ctrl alt del and killing the process. 17. There is also a program called desk hide which can hide the icons on the desktop. If that is not it, you can look through your programs to see if you can spot it. Right click on the program once you have located it. Select send to, then desktop(create shortcut) and then just drag and drop into QL. Hope it helped. Pat

  19. Hi all, I just wanted to get some information here. This is going to be a little like asking a car mechanic to diagnose a car problem over the phone. Here is the problem. My boss has a web cam. He wants to talk to his son overseas. My boss can get his picture up on his screen but his son can not see it. The only thing I know about my bosses system at home is, it is xp pro and it,s a dell. That’s all I know. I don’t even know what kind of web cam it is. I told him I could take a look at it after work on Monday. If any one has experience with web cams and can give me some things to look for
