sorry i havent been able to wish all the birthday people a happy one ive had a few problems have a happy one bozodog marty

as i havent been able to get to the board much ide like to take this oppertunity to wish every one a merry xmas and a happy new year marty

hi team ime reporting a pretty big earth quake north of where i live the small city where it happened has had plenty of damage tho there were injurys so far no reports of deaths the city i live in is about 900 to a 1.000 miles from the epi center but i felt it just like your house was doing the twist first it felt like a small shake then it went side ways as ime used to these small shakes it can be a bit acary i havent seen a report of the damage other than the local news report it must be pretty scary for the residents of gisborne [the city] marty

are you a gamer becaues most gamers complain of a slow computer lots of times they disable there virus or automatic scanners and which tends slow the game another reason is the compt has to be cleaned often temp files ect and most important the compt needs to be defragged to put those files back to be were they can be easily accessable if you use winxp you need to scannow your disk to place all those files back to thier proper places and to do that you need to go to run type cmd in the black screen type sfc/scannow insert your xp cd and press enter and let it runs it course last

a friend bought this very old compt to me she could boot and power up now it has gone dead would this be the power pac or faulty ram the power box is working as the monoter works and lights up it shows a no signal on the screen which i suspect is the video card the bloody thing is so old it wouldnt load xp nor ubuntu so thar ya go marty

i started off with a mini mac that i got for free but it buggered up and i didnt have enough compt nohow at the time to fix it so i gave it away i hate to think back 12 years and think of how naive i was to day i use a bitsa and ime reluctant to part with it marty

hi all take heed in the last few weeks ive switched to kubuntu on a dual boot with xp at the moment i do not use windows but each day i get these kubuntu security up dates and now my cable cap which is 5gig is nearly finished until the 18-12-2007 kubuntu and ubuntu are real resource hogs if your not wealthy \and go to the next cap level which is 10gig so i may have to give it a miss in all the years of reading about the windows sys beeing a hog for resources and this has never happened to me before with windows so my advice if you want to use ubuntu or kubuntu make sure you have the gi
