The only thing i can think of is that some tools used in fixing problems will revert computer back to default on some programs ! You can always hide them again if it's that big of a deal, Other than that i can't give you a define answer ! That's all i got for you on this subject ! Happy Surfing Chuck

Dog, you mean the Malwarebytes fix that it did ?? Which program were you talking about the 'Fix" ?? Every scan & fix that we ran is standard fixes, unless i find something real bad these programs i have everyone run at the beginning !! Then i usually type up a fix ! Chuck

Ok, reasons possible for your problems that i could find after some deep digging threw the logs and reports !! Q. ( AVG was inside, now it isn't) A. There is nothing that points to any removal or fixing of any of those reported problems in our fixes !! Could it be you ran some program before you ran our programs or made ascertains into one of the fixes ?? I am Going back threw all the logs to check to see if there is anything ! Chuck

I wish i had an answer for your problems after the cleaning but there is no reason for that to happen. Nothing we did could possibly cause those problems ! Sorry for any inconvenience that may have been done ! Chuck

You can run MBAM (malwarebytes again if you want but i bet it's clean !! From what i see everything looks good & you should be good to go again !! Thanks Chuck

Yep & Clean up of Malware Removal Tools Now that we are through using these tools, let's clean them off your system so that should you ever need to have malware removed again (we hope not) fresh, updated copies will be downloaded. Download Delfix to your desktop and double click it to start the program here Ensure Remove disinfection tools is ticked Also tick: o Create registry backup o Purge system restore o Reset system settings o Click Run The program will run for a few moments and then notepad will open with a log. Redog ............ I hit scan and when it finished I clicked fix and nothing happened. <<< what program are you referring to ?? I tried OTL again and it locked up at Firefox. Do you have IE (Internet Explorer) ? Try OTL with it !! Looking over the Farbar logs ! Will type up a fix shortly !! Chuck

Catherine that cleaned up real nice, so lets remove some of the tools we used in the cleaning !! Clean up with OTL Right-click OTL.exe and select " Run as administrator " to run it. This will remove all the tools we used to clean your pc. Close all other programs apart from OTL as this step will require a reboot On the OTL main screen, press the CleanUp! button Say Yes to the prompt and then allow the program to reboot your computer. When pasting the logs just click in the big box at the bottom, paste log, then click "Post" ! May have to try it a few times to paste !!
