No you have not offended anyone, it's that we don't know what has been tried or offered by another helper !! So when you get 3-4 people working on the same problem it could wind up crashing the computer !! I will keep looking for a solution !! Chuck
-
I see you have asked for help in 3-4 other forums. Helpers don't like that because we don't want to many helpers working at the same time. So i am gonna sit aside & see if those helpers come up with something !! Good Luck Chuck

what are your thoughts on windows 10
flashh4 replied to novi's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Pat i tried the Edge to save some links to web pages in my documents, mine worked fine ! How are you going about this ? Lets see if we are doing it the same. Here is how i save them !!!! First i click the browser link (EDGE) , which highlights the web page link, then i right click mouse and select the option to copy, then open a notepad or word pad, right click it then select paste. Then click to save with option of where to save it !! That is my way i have always did it in any operating system !!! Chuck -
what are your thoughts on windows 10
flashh4 replied to novi's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Hey Pat, i like the new W10 ! I don't use the new "EDGE" that much but it seems like it does everything i ask of it ! I mainly use firefox as i did before getting W10. To me the system seems more stable over all. I have not had any crashes with it like i did with W8.1 .......... I am still wondering why in the main stream of things they gave it out free, it may be because they want to use your private info after October for their gain, or a lot of programs must be Microsoft to run programs/apps !! Well there ya go my humbled opinion !!!! But switching back i would not because it's just a matte -
Seeing how the issues with this computer have been resolved this topic is now locked ! If you need it opened for any reason please contact me or any Mod !!! Thanks Chuck

Glad to hear it is fast ! No i don't use IE ..... i have always used Firefox (Mozzila) along with the new W10's Edge <<< took the place of IE in Windows 10. ...... It i like very much because of the other options it come with !! Yes you can follow Avast but watch out for it wanting you to upgrade to the paid version, i just close it when that happens. Also watch for it wanting to add other things with Boxes being checked, just uncheck them then it's ok !! Chuck
