Hi ghorjus, not sure if I knew you. I came onto TechTV toward the very end, a few months before the announce of the merger. Hope to see you around these forums though!

From all the experience I've had with Download Managers/Accelerators, I've completely stopped using them. Most of them contain malware (DAP included), they screw with how your browser functions, and they bloat the system. However, the "best" on I've used was Star Downloader. Note, I used it many many versions ago, so it may have changed in quality, or even incoorporated malware into the install.

This is a Kazaa uninstaller which scans and removes all elements of all Kazaa versions, as well as all of the bundled software that comes with it. By Merijn. How to remove Winfixer, Virtumonde, Msevents, and Trojan.vundo using VundoFix by Atribune. Download VundoFix to a conveinient location. Double-click the VundoFix icon. Click the Scan for Vundo button. Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button. You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo. When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK In the event that the infection is still present, or you are still haveing problems with malware, post a HijackThis

Under Edit->Preferences->Audio I/O under recording device, does changing that to one of the other oprions fix the problem? Matt

When you write a PM, before you send it, there is a check box that says "add to sent items". Checking that will put a copy in your sent folder. The reason it is not default is it would quickly fill up your allowed PM storage if gone unnoticed

1. Turn off System Restore. On the Desktop, right-click My Computer. Click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. Check Turn off System Restore. Click Apply, and then click OK. 2. Reboot. 3. Turn ON System Restore. On the Desktop, right-click My Computer. Click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*. Click Apply, and then click OK. After that, you should be clean.

Along with the possible worm that this file may be, you are most likely also infected with the rdriv.sys rootkit. I highly reccomend that you post a HJT log in the Malware Removal section of the forums.
