Yeah, we have never had any security issues in the past, I've done a fairly good job at keeping the site secure. Hopefully this was the first and last time we experience an exploit. Unfortunately though if you miss an update to a particular script/software it can be dangerous. I'm typically very good about making sure everything is up-to-date or at least on the latest secured release. The attackers injected code into the OpenX database (the one which serves the ads on the site) and that's where the problems arose. Again, everything is fine now and we've been deemed safe by Google. We were exploited yesterday which is why you were receiving warnings. Everything has since been resolved. If you did come to the site despite the warning I would recommend scanning your system just in case. Sorry about the inconvenience. B -

It comes up all the time on the web: pick a strong password! But what does that really mean? There are many misconceptions about passwords that can lead to trouble. Insecure passwords are very vulnerable and subject to attack. Before you can understand how to prevent these issues, you must first understand how passwords are used and stored. A spiffy HTML-5 based mobile web portal may not seem like a big deal for many content providers. I would even go as far as to call such a portal a “standard” for popular web services. But for America Online, the jump into the mobile market is a significant one, showing not only a change in focus, but a change in approach as well. I picked up a pair of Bowers & Wilkins MM-1 speakers for my birthday the other day. While they are somewhat expensive retailing at $500, they are still on the lower end of the price scale for Bowers & Wilkins products. Watch the full unboxing video here: http://www.besttechie.net/2010/07/21/bowers-wilkins-mm-1-unboxing/ B

I really want to know what’s up with the sudden interest in Q&A type sites? Once upon, there was Yahoo Answers, a site run by Yahoo which let users ask questions and receive answers from other users. Which to me, always seemed like nothing more then an Internet forum, such as the one I run (for tech stuff). Then along came Mahalo Answers, which is essentially a more “modernized” Yahoo Answers, but still, nothing more than a Q&A site. However, more recently, more and more of these Q&A services are starting to appear. Full article: http://www.besttechie.net/2010/07/03/questions-
