  11. What a beautiful day. Mid seventies with a slight breeze. Expected to stay that way for the rest of the week. Time to work on the lawn.
  12. Now that the blizzards and high winds are done here we get a reprieve from outages until the summer T-showers. The last one was a few weeks ago during the night. We had no power for about 4 hours and the temps were in the low teens.
  13. Are the diameter of the tires the same and fully inflated? Even 1/2" difference in tire size on the same "axle" will cause a car to pull. Try swapping the tires side to side or front to rear and see if the pull switches. Could also be a broken cord or an improperly cured tire. Is the front end aligned?
  14. Many Emachines used crappy power supplies from Bestec. That is one of the usual symptons of those lousy PSUs. Sometimes when they fail they take the motherboard with them.

  16. Some smilies that you download can be infected with crap such as MyWebSearch. The following checked out safe with SiteAdvisor. http://www.thesmilies.com/ http://www.nicesmilies.com/ (1 popup and overture.com third party cookie) http://www.mysmiley.net/ http://www.smileys4me.com/ These are from the first five pages from a Google search. 17. Many mechanics that work at dealerships do not make that great of a living. They aren't really compensated for their time in training and the costs of their tools, neither of which ever ends. In the 80s my $13,000 invested in mechanics tools was considered basic for a dealership. To start out now you need to invest in over $30,000 just in your basic tools and something similar to a Masters degree in automotive technology with an advanced degrees in electronics and computers.
  18. Cold, windy and damp. It was snowing this morning. Back to the 60s on Tuesday.
  19. Viewing source shows that the site uses Javascript and I see a reference to ActiveX. Make sure Javascript is enabled. For some reason FIFTH isn't blinking for me with Opera 9.27 even though I have Javascript enabled.
  20. What an absolutely perfect day. Sunny and in the 60s. The babes have dumped their winter clothes and are parading about in shorts and halter tops. This is my type of weather.
  21. What Operating System are you using and how much memory does your computer have? In fact we are still waiting for your reply to your other threads.
  22. You are having problems with Free Download Manager (iefdm2.dll). Find help at the FDM forums.
  23. The free downloads and bandwidth are limited. The good stuff costs.
  24. We're in the upper 50s with a strong breeze blowing. I crawled under my GMC and changed the oil then I flushed the brake system and added new brake fluid. I decided to run over to the parts store and pick up a 180 degree thermostat and gasket. They said that the lowest they listed was a 195 degree, so I told them to give me one for a '92 Vette with the LT1. They thought I was nuts until I showed them that any stat that fits a small block Chevy will work. Now I have to wait for the truck to cool down so I can replace it. Good timing seeing as the race is on.
