Yeah, I've used shipit, it will arrive:-) If you want to download the newest version of Ubuntu and burn it yourself you can go to their site and get it. Ubuntu Linux

Okay. Thanks for the reply. You've got a few options. 1. Stick with 4.10. It is an older version of Ubuntu which is no longer supported with security updates. But, if it works, hey why not? 2. If you had trouble with 6.06 you can download the 6.10 alternate desktop iso which is more forgiving of different hardware set-ups. 3. You can download Kubuntu 6.10 which is the KDE version of Ubuntu. 4. You can order some Ubuntu CDs for free. See my pinned link at the top of this forum. Let us know if we can be of further help.

What version of Ubuntu are you running, marty? It should have the Synaptic Package manager which will allow you to install KDE. I'm running 6.10.

Check my post a few posts back, marty:-) You'll need to use your Synaptic package manager which will help you to download, install KDE from the Internet. You can also use iccaros's way too, you'll just need to open up a terminal prompt which you'll find in accessories:-)

It is not too bad up here in northern B.C., Canada. It is 46 degrees F with a light rain falling. Usually we get a long stretch of sub zero weather, but, not yet.
