Works for me too. Hmmmm.....maybe they've fixed the bugs t0c. I'm can add friends and view the drop down menu on a person's avatar in FF 2.0.0.1 using Windows and Linux.

I would review your settings in thunderbird. Just use the same settings in evolution. If it works in tbird it should also work in evolution.I'm a bit confused by what you mean by "I'm on a different provider."

I have run Linux anti-virus programs in the past, but, don't right now. If you are running your Linux box as a regular user and not as root you are reasonably safe from being hacked. Also having your computer behind a router offers good protection as well. Is this perfect? No. But, it is good enough for my needs. I hope that helps. I also posted a thread here about detecting rootkits which you may find interesting. All of the mainstream Linux distros regularly offer security updates that you can download, install to keep your box secure. If you update your box you'll be in good shape,

Yes, I had a good look through the links at the bottom. They don't just beat up on my favourite distro (Slackware), they take potshots at everyone. Very funny stuff, indeed.
