If you have Ubuntu 6.10 installed you can update to 7.04, just make sure you have Ubuntu 6.10 updated. The instructions for doing that are on the page I listed. You can also download the 7.04 iso and do a clean install on your HD. I would wait a day or two before you upgrade or install as the Ubuntu servers are getting hammered today.

A terrible tragedy!!! I am saddened that these youngsters were gunned down in cold blood. My heart goes out to the families and friends of these murdered students. I can't even begin to imagine the suffering that the survivors of this senseless carnage must be enduring.

Heh-heh, thanks, my friend! Debian 4.0, the stable branch, will only use very tried and true software. I agree with you though, I don't see anything unstable about the newer versions of Gnome. To get the newest, cutting edge software you'll need to try out "Lenny" the testing version of Debian which begins to incorporate bleeding edge software. The unstable branch of Debian, code named "Sid" has a lot of new stuff in it, but, the system may easily break and will on occasion need to be fixed.
