Open Office lacks a grammar checker. I just found this language extension that adds a grammar checker for OO. It is a zip file and no installation is required. I just added it to my copy of OO 2.2 on my Slackware box, it works well. Set-up instructions are at this site. Java is required for this to work. http://www.danielnaber.de/languagetool/

It is quite simple really:-) If you're running windows you can just type on the Print Screen button on our keyboard. Then open up any image editor like MS paint and click----->edit----->paste. Then click File-------->Save as. save the image as imagename.jpg. Then upload the jpg image to any free image hosting site like photobucket. Then copy, paste the image code into a reply here. If you're using Ubuntu Linux you can use the same method to capture an image. With other versions of Linux I'll use ksnapshot to do a screen grab.

I couldn't disagree more! Tons of wisdom, just less and less access to it. We're like a set of encyclopedias growing in volume and complexity every year, but it keeps getting tougher to find the articles you're looking for. So maybe us old folks need to defrag our brains? Nicely put, JDoors.

Congratulations, Mark!! What a beautiful baby:-)

Quest.......................funny movie

Heh-heh. Agreed. For those of us on the plus side of 40 we know that age doesn't necessarily bring wisdom.

I agree with jwbirdsong and shanenin, A clean install is the best way to go after you back up the stuff you want to keep. Upgrades will work; I'd go a step at a time. I've done upgrades about 4-5 times, upgrading Ubuntu 5.10--->6.06, but, I ended up sometimes getting weird authentication errors with apt-get. With a clean install everything will work the first time. So I'd go with a clean install:-) Have fun.
