  3. It is -7 C or 19 F for you Americans. It is cold this a.m. on the North Coast of BC, Canada and overcast, but, thankfully no snow.....yet. I'm sure glad I've got my Michelin ice-x snow tires on my Malibu. I hope the snow isn't too annoying to remove, shanenin.
  4. The temperature has dropped a bit more up here, it is now -6 C/ 21 F. I think snow might be coming fairly soon. Hey, it is December 1st, I've gotta get my Christmas cards done.
  5. I see you are using that darn metric system. In Celcius it was -14 here :-) The Pacific must keep it a little milder for you. Yep, I'm Canadian, I'm slowly getting used to the metric system! Yes, the Pacific just next to us does give us milder weather. It is now -2 C/ or 28 F.

  16. It's A Award bios I just shut the computer off and checked to see if everything is seated properly and everything is fine. I then turned it on and got a weird distorted short beep and one short beep after that. The computer boots up fine and runs fine. Sceeter32 The beeps mean something. I would go to one of the sites we listed and check-up on what the beeps mean.
  17. I would go to this website and click on your MB, that will let you know what the post codes mean. Perhaps you have a stick of RAM that isn't seated properly. http://www.bioscentral.com/

  20. You are in for a treat, my friend:-) Many Linux distros these days come in a live CD format. There are several live CDs you can try out that'll boot totally from the CD ROm drive without touching your windows install. 1. Ubuntu 2. Fedora 3. Suse If you think you might want to install a distro Ubuntu is a good first choice for Linux. It is also very good at setting up a dual boot with windows XP ( not sure about Vista though- Jeff might know about that)
