My buddy Carnevil let me know about this cool, light and fast bittorrent client yesterday. I used it on my daughter's Ubuntu box to download the new Opensuse 10.3 live cd. It functions very well indeed. Deluge is worth a look. Deluge

In my little town, Prince Rupert, a small fishing community on the North Coast of BC, Canada we have a positively exquisite little restaurant. It is situated near Cow Bay in Prince Rupert, hence the name Cow Bay Cafe. It has a picturesque view of the harbor. The restaurant isn't really a cafe, but a gourmet dining experience. Adrien the chef has a different menu every night, each main dish is a culinary delight! Adrien hand selects the freshest herbs, spices, and ingredients to produce dazzling dishes! The last time my wife and I went there we had some amazing halibut. The Cow Bay Cafe i

Agreed. True enough. I'll take Linux/Unix any day of the week over M$ though:-) IMHO it is better software! Actually I'd say that Mac OS 10.5 software is on par with Linux/Unix:-)

I dunno, Matt. I haven't tried that. I have been able to log-in as root in x windows in ubuntu. This is a security draw back to linux in that anyone can get into your machine if they can get physical access to it (log-in as single user and change your root password).

Glad to hear your stuff isn't gone, Bubba Bob. I've also got some important pictures and docs archived in my gmail account. I also have copies of this stuff in my yahoo mail account now that yahoo has a lot of storage too. I also worry that one day someone will accidentally delete all my stuff.

Yeah, I completely agree with the previous posts. I've flashed a BIOS before and it went fine. But, there is the real potential to ruin your computer if things go terribly wrong, like you have a power failure during the process. I'd leave well enough alone unless your computer is malfunctioning and you absolutely need the upgrade.

joke (any good lawyer jokes?) A lawyer was driving his big BMW down the highway, singing to himself, "I love my BMW, I love my BMW." Focusing on his car, not his driving, he smashed into a tree. He miraculously survived, but his car was totaled. "My BMW! My BMW!" he sobbed. A good Samaritan drove by and cried out, "Sir, sir, you're bleeding! And my god, your left arm is gone!" The lawyer, horrified, screamed "My Rolex! My Rolex!" to continue.......... comedy.

I went for a few good walks this past weekend, it was breezy and cool, lots of leaves blowing around. A perfect October weekend. I think I'll also need to get the snow tires on in about a week or so.
