  2. How do you tell if sticks of RAM are single or double sided when you look on places like Newegg.
  3. I guess for what I need 1GB might be enough, but what about taking into fact that I'll be using onboard video. I believe that the MSI board can be set for 64MB or 128MB.
  4. I know 1GB of RAM might be o.k., but I'm going to be doing Video editing. I'm also going to be using the on board video (Nvidia 6150). That why I'm thinking of 2GB.

  7. I'm wanting to get 2GB of RAM for my PC that I'm upgrading (mobo, CPU & RAM). But I only have enough money for 1GB. Would there be a problem buying one stick of 1GB now and then another of the same brand and model later?

  9. I did but everything looks fine. Thid problem started when I put the drive in a new system. The only difference between the systems is the mobo. One thing I should mention is the mobo in the new system is a cheap board. I'm planning on upgrading everything next month.
  10. I have a NEC 16x Burner and use 16x disc. But when I burn DVDs it only burns at 12x. It used to burn at 16x but I don't know what happened
  11. In DVD Shrink you can copy just the movie with out all the extras. I think this link might help. DVD Shrink Help
  12. I'm not an expert on beeps and all, but I'd say it's a RAM problem. Make sure all the sticks of RAM are seated properly.
  13. Is there any difference in performance running 2 sticks of 1GB of RAM and 4 sticks of 512MB of RAM. The reason I ask is because I'm not sure if I can afford 2GBs right now. I was thinking 2x512MB now and another 2x512MB later. Or just buy 1 stick of 1GB and another matching one later

  15. I was thinking of getting an AMD 350+ but then on ZipZoomFly.com I found the 3700+ for only $14.00 more with free shipping. The 3500+ has a cache L2 of 512KB and the 3700+ has a cache L2 of 1MB. MSI Board Would I see a big difference in speed for tasks like video

  19. I had no trouble setting up LogMeIn, and it works. So I think I'll stick with it for awhile. Thanks for all of your help guys
  20. I want to be able to connect to my desktop from my laptop when I'm at school. I'm going to try out LogMeIn program tomorrow. It looks pretty straight forward.
