  1. You have to watch it with big name manufacturer's products, sometimes they aren't compatible with aftermarket parts (especially mobo). Make sure your case can handle a new board
  2. I'm not sure what you should get. But check out Newegg and ZipZoomFly & Tigerdirect for prices. Newegg has reviews from customers that might help narrowing down your choices.
  3. What about 1GB of RAM. I can't seem to hold on to money lately. And I am still leaning toward to MSI, it's just I've always used Gigabyte.
  4. Sorry to keep hitting you guys up with stupid questions, what can I say I'm a pest. Anyway I was wondering just how much RAM would be dedicated to the on board video on one of these boards. Gigabyte or MSI And what the hell, which mobo would you get?
  5. Thanks for the advice, guys. I successfully transfered everything without a meltdown. Now I need some excuses to tell my brother what happened to his extra HDD.
  6. First off everything on the D drive is backup to an external HDD. What about ghosting the C drive to a 80GB partition on the second HDD. Then format and partition the rest of the new drive and then just transfer everything from the external.
  7. I have a WD 250GB HDD in my computer right now and a 320GB HDD that I want to put in as my (small case only 1 HDD fits). The 250GB is partioned into C=80GB and D=170GB. If I format and partion the 320GB to C=80GB and D= the rest, can I then just use Ghost to transfer C - C and D - D. If you have any clue what I'm talking about please help
  8. I thank u again. It's a really nice board
  9. I'm working on upgrading my system. I have a Aspire Q-pack case, with a WD 250GB and NEC 16x DVD Burner. I want to replace the mobo, CPU and RAM ( to pc 3200) I want to get from Newegg.com, a AMD 3500+ with 1GB of Corsair ValueSelect RAM. My question is about this Mobo & onboard video Gigabyte Should I get it?
  10. I'm new here, but I don't think you can download on one PC and transfer to another PC. Because MS when downloading verify's the copy of Windows and plus if they have already been downloaded to your PC I don't think it will do it again. Why don't you connect their PC to your connection and download it though your high speed connection
  11. I've been seeing this alot lately on different forums. Apparently someone created a piece of spyware that shuts down Norton Products. I recently switched to Panda because Norton's was having glitches. Try using AVG or Avast to get the problem off
  12. I'm a little out of my element here on the clicking noise, but if it is making noise while it's spinning, It's a sign of a bad drive. I usually put my hand on it and if I feel knocking while spinning I know it's dying. If the jumpers are right but windows won't install, it's time to return it. Sorry
  13. Did you set the jumpers to the right setting (master/slave)?
  14. I just switched to Panda Anti-Virus from Norton's. I'm wondering about an action that happens everytime I turn on the computer. I says that an intruder is trying to access my WIFI connection. It gives you the options of blocking it until next time I turn on or allow intruder access. I want to know if there is a way to permently block intruder.
