Actually the class we are in is a computer class with broadband connection. He has already looked it up and printed the Norton info. and yes he has run spybot and adaware.

I had to go to work before I could really help him. But I think i told him to do that.

My advice is don't give out too much info on the net. If it has Address or Full name or crap like that i tend not to give that out. Like as you can see with my BT info i only put my state and my B-Day. No Picture of me even, just my car. What i'm saying is windows makes partitions with everything ya need to start with, i'd steer clear o f makin a bunch of partitions cause that is just a pain. I have only 1 per drive on each of my machines. Every single one with an OS on it. I usually just make folders for each category.

You have XP right. You can just install the drive boot to windows and go into MY Computer and format the drive from there.

When you have ADD you usually don't have that prob. I.E. MEEEEE!!!. Though i did play the first Call of Duty the day i got from beggining to end (nearly), The next day i realized i was on the last level. I have had times though when i would play multiplayer A LOT. CoD: United Offensive the most probably. I bought BF2 the day it came out and compare my scores with others and you would realize i have better things to do.............. DRAG RACE! my copy of XP Home was SP2 to start with and i have had far less trouble than my old 98se. I have always heard though that the SP2 upgrade is kinda crappy. if you have the cash or you are wanting to build a new system ( or buy a new system) get XP SP2 version. I think it is far more stable.

Ok i recieved this stop error while surfin the web in firefox. first though i had recieved " Firefox has hit critcal error do you want to send a log to microsoft" crap. alright i can still act like a high school senior (actually i am still that) instead of a harvard graduate. and yes were i go to school 95% of my senior class is immature and wacky. that includes me. (makes fart noise and giggles along with friends )

i use db poweramp too it's pretty good. too bad free version no longer includes mp3. you can trial it. but if you wanted to keep it you'd either have to pay or keep reinstalling. lucky for me i have the older version with mp3 for free.

restating above for those who scrolled down with out reading the first post (i'd be one of those more than likely) How I fixed it. I went to my local computer computer store and bought this cheapo Cooloer Master HSF , used articlean on my CPU and then attached this HSF (had a thermal pad), whooppee temps dropped from 60 idle 63-65 load to 50 idle 52-53 load. i'm thinkin of askin for a Zalman for Xmas though, just to make sure we stay icy. Games performance has improved especially SWAT4 and BF2. it had a strange copper slab bolted to the bottom of the hsf rather than having just a small exposed

despite having an outdated database AVG found the files and deleted them. after doing so i went to system restore restored it back to 2 days ago and voila system is back to it's old self.

i'll have to try it later i'm not on that system i'm on my main one with only XP

both drives have only linux i trashed windows so i could recover my files in linux i had no clue how to access drive 2 i'm not havein any real probs it's just you can't see drive 2 cause FC4 sees another os in that drive.

no i formatted the first drive and installed FC4 so i could get my files on the other drive and put them on a disc and then go back and redo everything having 98se on 1st and FC4 on the 2nd. there was a tweak i was once told that would open up the other drive but i forgot what it was.
